A study commissioned by the National Black Chamber of Commerce, which represents 2.1 million black-owned businesses in the United States, found that the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Power Plan would increase black poverty by 23 percent and cause the loss of 7 million jobs for black Americans by 2035.

The study also found that the EPA' plan would increase Hispanic poverty by 26 percent and cause the loss of 12 million jobs for Hispanic Americans by 2035.

The EPA proposed the Clean Power Plan on June 2, 2014 to cut carbon emissions from power plants.

...

There was a time when your greatest obstacle was your competitor, but if you worked hard, took care of your customers and offered quality merchandise at a fair price, you could compete successfully,” the letter stated. “Unfortunately, that is now not the case… The largest impediment we have to operating our business successfully is our own government, particularly the EPA. The rulings issued by the EPA have devastated our regional economy.

Coal provided 96 percent of West Virginia’s electricity last year. West Virginia has among the lowest electricity prices in the nation: last year, the average price was 27 percent below the national average,” said Capito. “But that advantage will not survive this administration’s policies. Studies have projected the Clean Power Plan will raise electricity prices in West Virginia by between 12 and 16 percent.”

“Put simply, there is no way that this massive, largely EPA-driven reduction in coal fired electricity generation is going to impact only coal states. It’s going to impact the majority of states, and the families and businesses within them. Often, the poorest and most vulnerable populations will bear the brunt of this increase

Hmmmph ....

The National Black Chamber of Commerce supported the Kenyan Usurper in 2008. Not sure about 2012.

Barry Soetoro declared war on coal in 2008 ... so it’s not like they didn’t know.

The racists at the BCC are offensive to all American business. By segregating themselves the members are renouncing their Americanism

Can’t have stories showing how Democratic Party policies continue to do far more harm to blacks in this country than the symbolism associated with the Confederate flag.

This scary flag stuff is being pushed by professional grievance mongers.

Not by the average working stiff of color who CARES about having a job.

In this case I would say they are useful because they are at least nominally trying to fight the trend of “just put ‘em all in the golden shackles.”

Too much cynicism swallows up the useful and the useless alike.

Not important. The agenda is to gin up hatred and race war so the democrats don’t get their teeth kicked in in 2016 like they deserve. Activate the black herd of the democrat masters and they might just go to the voting booths on their own! Jobs aren’t important when you promise to give people a living income ... regardless of how easily it will vanish when the democraps have collapse the economy. Line up the busses, the herd must be mobilized, community organized.

The “WHITE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE” are all for this new law. When are these black Americans realize that they are being replaced by illegal Hispanics. These illegal Hispanics are more maleable that the black Americans. The democratic party has given up on the black Americans. When the black Americans give up on these democrats and go back to the republican party, the CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN PARTY.
