When I met and married my wife, she spoke no English at all, but I was fluent in Vietnamese. My wife decided that to successfully live and work in the USA, she needed to speak English. We gradually switched over a two year period from speaking Vietnamese to speaking English in our home. You cannot prosper in the USA unless you speak English.
