It was just a few weeks ago when Black gangs were being praised by clergy and authorities in Baltimore for doing a better job than police of keeping the peace in the wake of the Freddie Gray riots.
Since then the murder rate has skyrocketed as criminals have free rein in Baltimore as police, in response to being demonized by elected officials and the community, have held back from aggressively enforcing the law.
Last Sunday morning, two reputed members of the Black gang the Bloods horrifically raped and murdered a sixteen year-old Black girl in the basement of her grandmother’s home, then set her body on fire, according to Baltimore police.
Baltimore City College high school junior Arnesha Bowers was targeted by two young men she thought were her friends, twenty-three year-old Adonay Dixon and twenty-year-old John Childs, because they thought her grandmother, whom she lived with, had money.

On what universe do you "praise" gangs? Gangs are lawbreakers by their very nature. They do stuff that is AGAINST THE LAW.

Tragic story. The first thing that came to mind was why was she living with the Grandmother? There was no mention of a Mother or a Father. We have a 15 year old Daughter and a 12 year old Son. We’ve done everything possible to ensure that not only they know better than to associate with dirt bags but that they also are not raised in an environment that exposes them to this type of risk.
Years ago when they were younger we live in a larger urban area. We picked up and moved across the State to a more rural area to ensure they would grow up in a better environment. It cost us a lot, including great career opportunities, to do so but we cut back where needed to be able to absorb the cost.
We may not love our jobs, have brand new shiny cars, cable, or all of the most high tech gadgets but our kids are growing up in a safe environment which is more rewarding than anything else.
Even with the comfort of a nice town we are always on guard. We know who our kids associate with and we know about them. We know the potential trouble makers and our kids were raised smart enough not to associate with them. My wife stays home while I work so our kids have the needed guidance and support when I’m working days or weeks of long hours. Two German Shepherds guarantee that nobody will be breaking into our house without an alert going off and an assortment of tools, along with the knowledge to use them, to ensure we can stop most any threat.
Too many people choose a fancy lifestyle and high tech gadgets over the the proper upbringing, safety, and security of their families. We are not those people. I’d say we have our priorities in order.
I’m not saying her Grandmother was a bad person but there is always a way out of a bad environment. You just have to be willing to sacrifice to get there.

Those cultures that have abandoned faith, abandoned family, no dads, embrace abortion, embrace illegitimacy, reject the work ethic and in short reject everything necessary for civilized society - those cultures are reaping what they have sown. And the cultural breakdown is spreading fast.
Used to be only black women had bastard children in significant numbers. Now white women do too.
It is just a general decline of society as our morals and values have declined over time. Look at how crude and disgusting TV is today. Art imitates life. We are circling the toilet.

I’m not sitting here patting myself on the back and I’m not looking for that from anyone else. Not quite sure why you’d make a sarcastic comment like that. You completely missed the underlying point simply because, well I don’t know. Do you consider yourself somehow superior or are you bitter for some reason?
