The detachment from reality of that great military strategist, former House Speaker and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, has been well documented, from her defense of ObamaCare and the millions of jobs it would create instantly and that you had to pass to find out whats in it, to her current fable -- that the rise of the barbaric Islamic State and its victory over Iraqi forces we trained is, as the Democratic mantra now goes, the fault of President George W. Bush in general and Gen. David Petraeus in particular:
Reporter: General Petraeus said last night that we are losing the war in Iraq. How do you see it?
Pelosi: Well General Petraeus had the responsibility to train the troops in Iraq. I remember going over there on any number of occasions and hearing from him that he had trained 175,000 Iraqi troops and personnel so that they can take over their own effort. I would ask him about that. I think the number was far smaller than was represented to us.

It is even harder to do with no leadership.
Actually, I was referring to former Gen Petraeus’ credibility and judgement, given the scandal with Paula Broadwell, of which many of the details are widely known.
There is no question that Nancy Pelosi is a reprehensible liar and backstabber. The only question is how she gets away with it time after time.
I understand your position, but I still think the still water runs deeper than we think. How much of the widely known details are fact? If Petraeus had told the same things to his wife, would he have been massacred by the press? How many secrets did Eisenhower share with his “driver?” Rommel was forced to commit suicide to protect his family even though he had absolutely nothing to do with the plot against Hitler. I’m not saying Petraeus is lily white, but considering the dirty, evil, unlimited crimes on “the other side,” I think Petraeus was too dangerous, too popular, too much of a threat to this Administration and the powers that be. He was “presidential material” and had to be eliminated.
This is Pelosi eating one of her own and not taking any of the blame herself being as she was responsible for so much. Petraeus is a liberal from head to toe as exposed in his civilian rants about the North American Union (with Pelosi), his COIN strategy and his rules of engagement on and off the battlefield,

Can you imagine being a conservative and having to survive the politics of the military machine under this administration? Many didn’t. I wonder if they can be called back by a true constitutional Commander-In-Chief worthy of the sacrifices of our boots on the ground?
Pelosi can pretend all she wants that nothing happened in Iraq or in the U.S., from 2009 on, that changed the security picture in Iraq, just as she can pretend Obama and Maliki did everything the could have to sustain the gains made up to 2008. They didn’t.
But history knows, millions of Americans know and millions of Iraqis know that Obama and Maliki, together, lost all the security gains that had been made up to 2008, and together they had the ability to act differently and prevent that, but they failed to.
If Democrats were smart they’d tell their “blame Bush” for everything crowd to shut up. On second thought, let them keep it up.
How close to that is, Que sera, sera?
Sorry but I don't put the blame on any of our military advisers........
The fall of Iraq, just as the loss of the Vietnam war, lies solely on the politicians who were in charge..........And we know who they were!
