Jill Dillard: "They're used to exploiting women."
In an interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly that ran on Friday, two of the Duggar daughters who were victims of their brother’s inappropriate sexual touching called out the magazine that illegally released the records that not only revealed the identity of their brother Josh (who was a juvenile at the time), but also indirectly identified the victims.
Jill Dillard, the second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, told Kelly that she suspected there might be an agenda behind the story. “I mean, I know that the tabloids that released this, even have — you know, they’re used to exploiting women. They have the parent company –”
“Well, Bauer…they’re a major porn provider…” her sister Jessa Seewald interrupted.
“So I don’t know if they are — maybe their mindset, they’re just used to making objects out of women and maybe we just didn’t seem any different,” Seewald continued.
Jill and Jessa are members of the conservative Christian family that has been featured in the reality TV series 19 Kids and Counting, and the young women are spot on about the background of the company that publishes In Touch magazine.
Bauer Media Group, based in Hamburg, Germany, publishes 600 magazines, over 400 digital products, and 50 radio and TV stations around the world, including In Touch magazine, the publication that uncovered the story of the abuse in the Duggar home. They also traffic in porn — some of it Nazi-themed., as you’ll see on the next page.

These lend perspective to Bauer’s legal woes in the United States, including a $50 million defamation lawsuit by Tom Cruise, filed last October after two U.S.-based publications alleged he’d abandoned his daughter Suri. In fact, Bauer generates dozens of legal complaints worldwide each year about invasion of privacy or libel, according to a lawyer who has frequently opposed them.
The Duggar sisters are absolutely correct. In Touch and Bauer Media Group make money, in part, by exploiting women and trafficking in content that sexually objectifies women. The young women in the Duggar family who were victims of sexual abuse by their brother were victimized a second time by a magazine that treated them, not as accidental collateral damage in their honest efforts to report a legitimate news story, but as an integral part of a business model based on sexual exploitation of women. They exploited the sexual abuse suffered by the Duggar sisters for money, pure and simple. And they’ve done it with countless other women over the years. Disgusting.

Maybe some are just viscerally disgusted by what went on in that household, and can’t believe the lengths to which supporters will go to minimize it all.

They are not Christians. If you have to ask why that is, you need to do some research. Start with Galatians and compare to their belief system (Gothard, Quiverfull).
It looks all squeaky clean, but it the fast track to hell.
The agenda behind this scandal story is 100% anti-Christian.
And a lot of do-gooder “Christians” are too happy to participate.
The Duggars elected to step into the public spotlight by having a TV show.
They again elected to go on national TV and discuss the details of the Josh fondling his sisters.
That have chosen to be in that public eye.
I don’t think the Duggars should have waited so long to call the authorities after they knew what Josh was doing.
Were the girls actually molested, or just touched?
He was a kid just getting his hormones, and that doesnt excuse him, but who hasn’t know of a pre teen boy looking at girls at that age? When I was a kid, it was called “looking up bottoms” and boys would try to lift our dresses. Yes- that long ago when girls did wear dresses.
I’m not excusing him, but he seems like a kid who felt repressed and was curious. I also don’t know the whole story— but am looking at the first of his “confessions”.
Did I miss Son of Sam asking for therapy and forgiveness from his victims that he KILLED????? OMG! We are NOT CONDONING touching his sisters, but he atoned, got therapy and his victims have forgiven him....it’s the Christian way.

You’re making stuff up about the Duggar’s. The Duggar’s had a sealed or expungement order already that is why the 2006 police record was expunged so quickly. Just because you don’t know what happened doesn’t let you to make stuff up.
If this is true, it protects no one. An accuser could wait until a juvenile is 18, then accuse him or her of whatever. If the kid didn’t do the crime, the case wouldn’t make it to the courts, but the investigation would be on record. FOIA request filed - the kid’s life is tainted. How is this helpful?
I’m no “legal expert” but I seriously doubt any public information law can force the disclosure of the identities and details concerning the sexual battery of 11 and 13 year old girls. Or younger. Or older if less than 18 years old at the time of the infractions, for that matter.

That's already happened. You obviously don't think it's happened enough. When will it be enough? When he blows his brains out? When he's divorced and loses access to his own children? When he's fired from his job? When he becomes an alcoholic or a drug addict? When he's homeless? When is enough?
And remember, this is on top of the years of family healing that he's already gone through. So - how much more? You want to destroy him, hurt him, heal him, what? How much? When is it enough?

And I repeat NOBODY IS CONDONING what Josh did.
YOU are the one projecting on to others. There are people who don't feel Josh should be executed. That he should be allowed to try to turn his life around. To try to be the man that he knows he should be.
It seems that pisses you off.
These are people that were in the middle of this. They lived it.
You on the other hand were spoon fed the details by the media and you happily swallowed everything.

Well, I just find it odd there are conservatives who are willing to believe the MSM about this, when they won't believe the MSM about other things. Usually conservatives are aware that the MSM controls the narrative on stories and so they mistrust the MSM.
But here, people know ONLY what the MSM have said and they are willing to jump on the bandwagon to ridicule the family.
Here, a family has 2-3 daughters molested,

And you accuse them of condoning his actions.
Based on what???
What the MSM tells you or doesn't tell you?
Parents who have to take into account their daughters needs
As well as
trying to redeem their son.
As an outsider, who knows nothing about the situation, you see it only as an either or.
They are parents, in the midst.
For them

Or that
Destroys, one or more of their kids lives.
We know nothing about what the Duggars did.
All we have is speculation.
