Ignoring the polls and pundits, former New York Gov. George Pataki plans to announce Thursday that he’s joining the crowded Republican field for president.

The three-term governor will unveil his candidacy in Exeter, N.H., – which claims the birthplace of the Republican Party – and join a group of contenders who are inching toward the 20 mark.

Skeptics abound about Pataki’s chances.

For the new American RINO Party? Sorry, George, we got the ticket — Ted Cruz/ Scott Walker.

Is this the NEW SCAMS, way to make money, then drop out and keep the ‘war chest’?

Come on Pataki, you don't have a chance of getting off first base...what is the matter with you...total stupid...how old is this dude... guess I'll have to Google him...lol

STAY STRONG TED CRUZ, WE HAVE THEM ALL CRAZY...

“He is running for a cabinet position.”

Just like Fiorina is running for VP. If the Republicans nominate Jeb, he’ll need a female or minority running mate to run against the Hillary/Castro ticket.

And donations to the campaigns are delayed kickbacks, similar to speaking fees.

If I were Cruz, I would really consider running as an “I”
Save the money and run one continuous campaign against the whole works.
Start it off in a couple months and use some of that cash for adds on TV and Radio.
This is going to get so he would need billions to compete.

-— Someone help me understand what’s going on -—

If you wanted to eliminate Cruz’ debate advantage, how would you do it?

Here are the hopefuls, by party, some have declared, there may be some I've forgotten to list, I've boldfaced my two (and only two) favorites and put strikes through the unacceptable candidates (that could grow):
Pubbies (six declared, two to four more within a couple of weeks):

  • Bobby Jindal (gov of LA)

That should pull in some votes that would have gone to, uh, Peter King.

If the GOP nominates Jeb, it will not matter who the VP is.

He will be another loser like McCain and Romney. Nothing more.

I saw Bob Dole a few months ago. He was looking pretty rough but he sat outside the WWII memorial for several hours greeting vets

True, JEB was (except for Terri S.) a good governor. Rick Scott is a great governor...

The only gap the GOP needs to fill in their “Big Tent”

When Linda Graham announces, the 'Big Tent' will gain a closet.

Just like Fiorina is running for VP.

Be careful. I said the same thing and both of her FR supporters tried to tear me a new one.
