San Francisco Chronicle ^ | May 23, 2015 | J.K. Dineen

Beekeepers. Physicians. Organic farmers. Preschool teachers. Parents of autistic kids.

Those were some of the groups represented Saturday in a march against the controversial biotech and agricultural giant Monsanto, which is often cast as Public Enemy No. 1 by those opposed to genetically modified foods.

As many as 500 people — many dressed like bumblebees and butterflies — filled Justin Herman Plaza around noon and then marched down the Embarcadero to Fisherman’s Wharf. Many held signs with slogans like “Evil Seed of Corporate Greed” and “GMOs Cause Autism and Cancer.”

No, just vaccinated GMO corn.

Speaking of corn, I just finshed planting about 500 corn plants in the back field. None GMO - just good ol’ grinding corn.

Glow Bull discombobulation causes Monsanto. Or something. How did the idjits get there? Rubber sole shoes, patagonia outer wear and priuses galore? Did bobby kennedy jr fly in from his humble abode in Cali?

Actually there is a direct link between the age of the mother when she has her first child and autism. Geeky mothers who don’t have kids until their late 30’s should be expected to have children with more disabilities

Geeks tend to do more drugs than non-geeks so it seems reasonable that geeky parents would have more autistic kids.

I am a staunch Conservative, ex SoCal girl.
Would have been right there with the Moonbats on this one!
Glyphosate is evil stuff and Monsanto got in bed with the Klintoons.
Been there ever since.
Michael Taylor is a POS of the highest money grubbing order.

None of this poison is necessary and the research is ever so heavily bought and paid for.
What constitutes ‘science’ in this day and age is a far cry from the 4 steps of
scientific discovery.

Whose grant, how much dough, what do I have to prove and when does the money run out.

The greenies are against anything that feeds us, warms us, or keeps us healthy.

Back in the sixties the talk was all about limiting population to save the planet. And now, as I said, anything that extends our food sources, energy supplies, or health technology is a target.

Much of the anti-energy supply efforts comes from the Saudis but I suspect all the anti-food supply protests comes from the Erlich realm of the greens.

I hope they weren’t complaining about expanded food production with a full mouth.........

These useful idiots never, ever consider just how in the hell 7 billion people are going to be fed. You cannot feed billions and billions of people from backyard au natural garden plots.

I hope GMOs are gone; however, the Trade Pact will not allow that.

As many as 500 people . . . ?

In S.F. you get this many participants in a nude volleyball tournament or glutten-free beer festivals. Any excuse for the Chronicle to start an article.

10,000 pro-lifers wouldn’t get a mention.

Hmm.
Monsanto, which together with Archer Daniels Midland has abused the patent system for decades and bribed it’s way out of consequences is now at war with a bunch of the greens.

Can we put them in a parking lot in Waco and surround the lot of them with BATF agents? Arm them all and whoever doesn’t make it out from any of the three factions won’t be missed.

All food that results from agriculture is genetically modified.

No exceptions.

Getting all hysterical because we have newer, more targeted and precise techniques for modifying food is just plain silly.
