Jeb Bush has an explanation for his Iraq war flub - it's that he has a 'hard time' criticizing his family. Bush made the admission on Thursday at the Republican National Committee's spring meeting, held this year in Flagstaff, Arizona, according to ABC News. Acknowledging that 'there's a lot of interest out there' from press in determining how he's different from his ex-president brother George W. Bush, the White House hopeful and son of former president George H.W. Bush said: 'I'm not going to go out of my way to say that, you know, my brother did this wrong or my dad did this wrong. 'It's just not gonna happen,' he said. 'I have a hard time with that. I love my family a lot.'

That is a real weakness in a person wanting to be President of the United States.

This is the problem. All of the Bushes seem to have a problem putting the nation’s needs ahead of their family’s.

No kidding. He even messes up trying to clarify his original mess up. Here’s what he should have said:

“So much of the opposition to my brother and his Administration is grounded in the kind of irrational hatred that has poisoned the political environment in this country. I love my brother and I know him. I know that, despite the hateful motivations the Left falsely attributes to him, he only acted out of his genuine love for this country and her safety, and based on the best intelligence available at the time. So while I would have done things differently, I still feel compelled to defend my brother from a personal honor and integrity perspective.”

Trap time. No doubt there are enough swing-state LIV-independents who still blame W for the economy and Iraq, associate Jeb with him, and turn out for Hillary. Two swing states and she wins.

Bush said: ‘I'm not going to go out of my way to say that, you know, my brother did this wrong or my dad did this wrong. ‘It's just not gonna happen,’ he said. ‘I have a hard time with that. I love my family a lot.’

So, who is Jeb’s family?

When George W. Bush was 13 (Jeb was 7), his family acquired a nanny:

“She was standing on the doorstep, alone in the rain. She looked tired and scared. A few days earlier, Paula Rendon had said goodbye to her family in Mexico and boarded a bus bound for Houston. She arrived with no money and no friends. All she had was an address, 5525 Briar Drive, and the names of her new employers, George and Barbara Bush.
”[Decision Points, By George W. Bush]

Dubya goes on:

“I was thirteen years old when I opened the door that evening in 1959. Before long, Paula became like a second mother to my younger brothers and sister and me. She worked hard, taking care of our family in Texas and her own in Mexico. Eventually she bought a home and moved her family to Houston.”

Jeb Bush met his wife, Columba, while teaching English as part of a university exchange program in Leon, Guanajato, Mexico in 1971. Columba was born in Leon in 1954.

Jeb is good at undercutting and compromising conservative positions. Good sign of RINO- they take conservative positions, but do not stand up for them - they are quick to apologize for them, back down, compromise

This is in response to some chicken-guano astroturf that's been following him around. Jebba the Slut won't be the nominee, but astroturf should be fed feetfirst into a live woodchipper, it was one of Saddam's favorites.

I agree, nice paragraph. Now who the hell are his handlers? Who is on his staff that is not preparing him for these types of things?

agree...he should have come up firing like his daddy when Bush the Elder went off on Dan Rather...

so much he could have said about all of the variables that needed to be considered at the time and the impact of changing one of those variables and how that would have affected the calculation. He could have said more about the impact on the Arab Spring and how Hillary as SoS squandered that etc....

He cares more about the opinions of the left than conservatives, but he seems to think he should receive our support.
I have more respect for an honest enemy than a false friend.
If John Elliot (that’s his name btw) is anointed before the IN primary, like McLame and Rombot, I’m staying home and working that winter towards building a second party.

Jeb Bush: I have a 'hard time' disagreeing with my family. Republican on the defensive

We know Jeb, especially your dad, who has a hard time disagreeing with Democrats. We expect you to follow in his footsteps and sell us down the river every chance you get.

Shut up Jeb. Nobody wants to hear your Jebberish.

We know Jeb will protect his father and brother - and that’s fine. But what we really want to know is will Jeb protect us - and our borders and our country....

Its just shameful, attacking the author that there is “not a shred of evidence” and then 2 weeks later finding out the former Klinton flunkie pumped 75k into the Klintons fund.
