YOUNG AMERICANS GOING GAGA FOR SOCIALISM [Reagan Warned Us]

Ask youth and Democrats in America what they think of socialism and a growing number will answer in the positive, pointing to Norway, Sweden and self-declared socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders as their examples, a new survey showed.

YouGov conducted a survey of how Americans these days are viewing socialism, and the perception has greatly changed since Moscow Red Square military-parade days.

In general, 52 percent of Americans say they have a favorable view of capitalism and 26 percent, a favorable perception of socialism. But those numbers change dramatically with the younger set.

For those in the under-30 range, “36 percent have a positive view of socialism, while 30 percent have a positive view of capitalism.” The over-65 age range of those surveyed, meanwhile, maintained a negative view of socialism. Only 15 percent gave it the thumbs-up, while 59 percent favored capitalism, YouGov reported.

Ronald Reagan warned us that freedom was always tenuous. He cautioned that if we did not teach our children, our country would surely slide into tyranny as many great nations before us.

It appears that that day is upon us, not by some outside force, but from within. The openly Marxist public school system factory has churned a generation that cannot get enough of the benefits socialism. Government is now the solution, not the problem, as previous generations learned. At the heart of this movement is a liberation theology free from the oppression of God, morals, ethics, personal responsibility, and freedom.

State is now god in the eyes of this young generation. This new generation is casting off all the baggage of America's last 240 years and boldly going where others, like Russia and Argentina have gone before. But where will it lead? What will be the outcome for this generation that despises the wisdom of the ancients and cannot get enough socialism?

When your only options are what liberal professors and public educators present as ‘salvation’ (socialism) and corporatism (which is socialism and modern feudalism-the system we currently live in). Nuckleheads will choose socialism.

Problem is that other than intellectually we don’t have many real advocates for actual free-markets (which work) and lift people out of poverty, as well as give freedom. Ron/Rand Paul are maybe the exception on the conservative/libertarian/free-market side for young people/

Government control = socialism

Government doesn't work because government worker are unaccountable. That's reason number 1455839 why gov doesn't work.

I started that fight last month at the school board meeting ... because I chatted with a check-out girl (maybe 19 or 20 years old) at Lowe's and she said, "I never vote"

The response was prompted by my ALWAYS troubling (or funny .. depending) remark about the machine asking .. "Is $ ___ . ___ correct?"

Which I aked the girl .. "How would I know ?"

SHE responded with; "Because the machine said so"

and I retorted ...

"Isn't that how you got your president ?"

I NEVER VOTE


Go ahead ... try it ... have fun with the public.

This is why CWII or the revolution, or whatever you want to call it, needs to happen NOW while the older generation who remembers the Constitution and how this country was founded are still around. We can rebuild with the concepts that worked well for so long.

And it’s not surprising that young Americans who owe $60,000 in student loans, and are living with their parents because they can’t find a job with their degree are not loving capitalism as much as their predecessors. They don’t see that it’s socialism that’s strangling opportunity, they just know what we have isn’t working for them.

Hardly a surprise as our schools haven't taught students about the free enterprise system for decades and those going to college are being indoctrinated by socialist or communist professors. Perfect example are those in the occupy Wall Street crowd who vilify profits and capitalism, but wouldn't be without their Ipads or Iphones that exist solely as a result of the capitalist system. Obama's message of spreading the wealth around may be popular among young people, but they will soon discover that socialism leads to shared misery for the masses and the lap of luxury for a few elites. Orwell's Animal Farm should be required reading

Not true, there are many young conservative/libertarians that believe in free markets. I am friends with many from my political connections.

Rand isn’t like his father, still more libertarian than most here, but not crazy like Ron.

My years old tagline is quite fit. And YOU are so right.

It is not “they” who are oppressing our country, but “us”.

We have sent our own children to those public indoct camps for now decades and want to wonder WTH happened, while we slept. Actually we were too busy getting mom out of the house and exhausting dad too that the kids were the last concern and not the first. We were pooped. And, after all, we had hobbies and partying to take care of.

The 60’s kids grew up to parent in the most self centered way that delivered them the most convenience. So, now that we have self destructed we are in a self induced moral, social, cultural, religious, and political nose dive. (Thx for hearing my rant.)
