Rather than taking a bold stand and stating that WI will disregard any federal ruling that usurps its constitutional amendment defining marriage overwhelmingly supported by Wisconsinites like me, he's wishing and praying that SCOTUS - the same SCOTUS that upheld Obamacare and magically found a right to abortion - will do the job for him.
Overwhelmingly passed. Yes. But no longer overwhelmingly supported. Like everywhere else in the country, the opinion of Wisconsinites as a whole is shifting in the wrong direction.

And that should give you a clue as to why Walker has abdicated his responsibility here. He's not courageous enough to stand up for what's right, instead preferring to go along with what's most popular.

Remember that when he says all the right things on the campaign trail. His record speaks louder.

Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.

Once again, NOTHING'S BEING BANNED.

Like we're not banning things from falling up by acknowledging gravity.

True. However with a Supreme court like at present walker is being realistic and prudent by deferring to the states.

Wrong. I agree with you as a Christian ; but; many in this nation have lost their belief system, or never had one,or were never taught, etc. We must pray for this nation plus elect those who believe.

Sad. This is very telling as AL was very religious when I lived there in the late 70’s to late 80’s.

We must elect only those who actually understand the moral basis of this free republic, and how that applies to public policy and the law, or we’re doomed.

ANY approach initially to take the power out of WASH D.C. and putting the decision making power back with the people of each State.

We DO NOT need ONE SIZE FITS ALL being SOLD by the D.C. hacks..

We NEED to have The Federal Government to GET the HELL out of the middle of my life and liberty.

I know. It’s just after the past few years of first witnessing the GOP-E backstab Palin, then do everything it could to diffuse the tea-party, push the nomination of a liberal Massachusetts governor, and seeing the Party give up on everything from Obamacare, amnesty, homo-marriage...

I just look at ALL candidates differently than I once did. I don’t trust anybody anymore. For decades I pretty much assumed the GOP stood pretty much for the same values and principles I did. That whole notion has been blasted into tiny pieces. Walker might indeed be the unwarranted recipient of this new landscape that I perceive. I just know that I was NOT impressed with how he handled the homo-marriage situation in his own state, nor his lame reaction to the Indiana situation.

Palin hurt herself on TV as she was ill prepared. Her shopping spree did not help either. Yes others do it. She got caught. The tea party has had it’s own problems. Frankly, in my opinion, this country is flat broke and if China cut our credit line off most would starve. I have bought gold as I cannot see this nation cutting spending, getting the lazy off welfare, nor getting many off any entitlement. Obama has even spent another 10-12 trillion already. What would you do if your bank shut the door and your money is frozen? How long could you live? What is your bank’s rating?

Shopping spree? That was the RNC’s doings, to get Palin up to speed for campaign stops, since unlike most rich and corrupt professional GOP politicians she and her family did not have the wardrobe that was necessitated. And when the media made hay out of this PHONY story (there was NO shopping spree, the RNC took her and her family’s measurements, and purchased items themselves), the operatives at the RNC who were responsible didn’t even bother to clear it up, happily letting the media bash Palin for weeks with a totally false meme. Scumbag trash like Nicole Wallace and Steve Schmidt, and their minions.

Not unlike the bastards that worked for Romney, like Madden and Stevens, who went around to their best-buds in the media trashing Palin. Added to this the way they conveyed a “get lost” to Palin, deliberately disinviting her when it came to the 2012 convention. Romney and the GOP-E basically proved that they do not share my views nor my values. They spit in my face with that. And Romney became the first Republican on any ticket, big or small, to ‘not’ receive my vote. I left my ballot blank. And I remain damned happy about it.

Reagan made me a solid GOP supporter and voter. Thirty years later, the backstabbing of Palin by GOP-E scumbags ended all that. And the activities by the Party of late, deserting every issue I care about, has just proven I’m on the right track. I’d like to choke the very life out of each and every GOP-E backstabber.
