Marco Rubio: Being Gay Is Not a Choice
Newsmax ^ | Sunday, 19 Apr 2015

Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio says he does not believe sexual orientation is a choice for the "enormous majority of people."

The Florida senator's comments came Sunday on CBS's Face the Nation, where he said that it should be up to states rather than the Supreme Court to define marriage and that he considers marriage to be between a man and a woman.

"I also don't believe that your sexual preferences are a choice for the vast and enormous majority of people. In fact, the bottom line is, I believe that sexual preference is something people are born with," Rubio said.

He and other Republican presidential hopefuls have faced questions in recent days about their positions on same-sex marriage as the nation's top court prepares for what is expected to be a broad ruling on the constitutionality of the issue in June.

Americans support the right of same-sex couples to wed, 55 percent to 42 percent, according to a Gallup poll in May 2014, reflecting sweeping movement in public opinion over nearly two decades. Republican support has also grown, but stands at just 30 percent, according to the poll.

In an interview with Fusion published Wednesday, Rubio said he would attend a same-sex wedding.

“If it’s somebody in my life that I care for, of course I would,” he said. “I’m not going to hurt them simply because I disagree with a choice they’ve made or because I disagree with a decision they’ve made, or whatever it may be."

Texas Senator Ted Cruz said he has never had to make such a decision, dodging the question. Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, who has not announced a campaign yet, said he would not attend such a wedding.

Ohio Governor John Kasich, another possible candidate, said he and his wife had been invited to a same-sex wedding and plan to attend, CNN reported Saturday.

Chajin, as Presidential candidate, answers the question: “The office of the Presidency is primarily concerned with faithfully administering the laws through the lens of the Constitution, protecting the nation from enemies both foreign and domestic, and providing for the highest quality of government employees and Federal judges. That will be the focus of my administration. All other issues are Constitutionally to be handled either by the U.S. Congress or by the states, and my administration will be so wrapped up in undoing the mess of the present administration, as well as administering the laws, protecting the nation, and nominating the best people for government and judicial positions, that I will leave to the states what matters to the states.”
Reporter: “But what is your stance on gay marriage?”
Chajin: “I am running for President of the United States. As President, I will faithfully administer the law as it is at that time.”
Reporter: “You’re not answering the question.”
Chajin: “The question is not pertinent to the duties of a President of the United States. I will answer any questions pertaining to those duties.”
Reporter: “OK, if the Congress were to pass a bill allowing for same-sex marriage nationwide, would you sign or veto it?”
Chajin: “I would have to see the bill before making that decision, but given the Tenth Amendment I think it likely that the issue of legal marriage is one that is left to the states, or to the people.”
Reporter: “But can people trust you to respect their sexual orientation?”
Chajin: “I will be the President of all the American people, and I will respect the rights of all the American people that are endowed by their Creator equally.”
Reporter: “Some people think you’re a bigot; what do you say to them?”
Chajin: “A person who thinks I am a bigot doesn’t know me, but if someone is convinced I am a bigot, that person should probably vote for someone else.”

I believe real gays are born with it. I’ve known several of them. They can no more be straight than I can be homo and they have always been that way. But in recent decades militant gays want to up their numbers and so there is also recruitment going on to entice straights to “try” homo. So IMO there is an element of both going on - real hard-coded gays and confused messed up people trying it. Which people are real gays vs trained gays and does this distinction even really exist? Only God knows. Doesn’t really matter really because in the end all of them are defective messed up people in need of a Savior — as are all of us as well.

My company is increasingly far left.
They recently touted diversity and inclusion by featuring a guy who “came out”, leaving his wife of ten years and four children to “find himself”.
Another fellow was married, five kids, now proudly out.
A third man’s wife was asking for advice, because he had come out to her but wanted to keep the family together - so he was seeking permission to have flings on the side.

In all of these cases, I’ll believe the man cannot control a sexual attraction toward other men, but in all cases, these men were able to have enough control to have sex with their wives often enough to make multiple children.

And in no case was it admitted that they had a choice - to stay with their wives and raise the children or destroy their families to indulge their fantasies.

It’s a disease of the mind to accelerate self destruction. Just like drug abuse and alcoholism.

If you want to know where we are going, it’s THX 1138.

And he “knows” this....how?

The homosexual deviance redefinition agenda Kool Aid now comes in a clear, colorless formulation.

Sure Rubio, no more than being a sociopath, kleptomaniac, necrophiliac, etc. are a choice?

But, just like those mental disorders, it is a treatable sickness.

It is clear to me that some people are born with genetic defects that give them confused signals as they are growing up about sexual attraction. Some have such a dysfunctional relationship with one or both of their parents that they develop dysfunction with respect to sexual attraction. Some come to it via ideology, as for example feminism leads to such a rejection of males that some women deliberately become lesbians.

We could say the same for people who grow up with a dysfunctional understanding of property rights, or of how they must respect the life of others.

None of this makes homosexuality in harmony with God’s law. He makes it very clear in many ways that just as people who covet and murder cannot qualify for the Kingdom of God, people who practice sexual immorality are also disqualified.

In the Post-Christian west, we now have the problem that as society becomes more secular, the basis of civil and criminal law become more and more distant from God’s Law. However, this also illustrates areas where it was a mistake to allow the prevailing Christian establishment to collude with civil government to make law.

At this very moment as I type in 2015, in this state, it is illegal for an auto dealership to be open for business. This is one of the last vestiges of what were called “Blue Laws”, that regulated what could and could not be sold on Sunday.

Marriage is a sacred covenant defined by God. People who don’t want a relationship with God cannot enter into this covenant. If they want to form a household, they are free to do so as they please, and they do. I cannot recall the last time anyone was arrested for co-habitation or when a “hippie commune” was raided. Yet we are in turmoil because of same-sex “marriage”.

Because too many in government now have values and ideology that is hostile to Christianity and Torah, in order to protect marriage, it is time to remove from government the power to define, regulate and authorize it. Then it will return to being a private matter. Then nobody can force me to recognize a “marriage” that is morally repugnant. And nobody can throw me in jail or arrest me for declining to be drafted as an enabler for a ceremony that is blasphemous. The gay mafia will have to take their war to some other corner of our society. And people who want to get married as God defines it can still do so.

Rubio is confuzilling me. Near as I can understand, what with the Spanish broadcasts and now this statement, he's good with some one like this?

A gay illegal "Dreamer" who wants to marry another guy?

He’s just sayin’ all the wrong things, my junior senator. It needn’t be said that Bush is too... They should stand in front of each other and have a lil’ Mexican firing squad— politically speaking. (ya know, they should have it out of love, like the love Jeb thinks the illegals have for our country.) Fine, fine-— a Cuban firing squad? Whatever....
The point is, take each other out and let the real conservatives cruise forward. (oops, pun intended again)

it’s not dna. it’s a choice.

and it’s a choice i do not agree with for a country i live in.

for those that have no idea where it all leads, bring up google, click images, turn off your adult filters, and type ‘folsom street fair’. this is an annual event in san francesspool, held in public with the city’s endorsement just outside the main church in that area.

and yes, every year they break into the church and desecrate the alter. sexually.

if it’s not a choice, then it’s deviant behavior that needs to be excised from society
