Egypt Tells Israel to 'Trust in God' and Bomb Iran
Christian Headlines ^ | April 14, 2015 | Carrie Dedrick

Influential Egyptian TV personality Tawfik Okasha has reportedly told Israel to bomb Iran. Addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “dear friend,” Okasha said that Israel should bomb the Bushehr Nuclear Reactor, Breaking Christian News reports.

"Put your trust in God and bomb it. We are with you and if you need fuel for the jets, we will give it to you,” Okasha said.

Netanyahu said Okasha’s words are proof Egypt cannot be trusted.

"In the last few days, Iran has shown again why it can't be trusted," Netanyahu said.

According to Breaking Christian News, the Israeli Prime Minister does not approve of the nuclear deal.

"Iran insists on maintaining its formidable nuclear capabilities with which it could produce nuclear bombs. Iran insists on removing all sanctions immediately. And Iran refuses to allow effective inspections of all its suspect facilities. At the same time, Iran continues its unbridled aggression in the region and its terrorism throughout the world," Netanyahu said in a statement.

"We must not let Iran, the foremost sponsor of global terrorism, have an easy path to nuclear weapons which will threaten the entire world," he continued.

“Bomb Iran”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBGPw_LBiRA

A parody of the Beach Boys’ “Barbara Ann”, and though they didn’t get the rights first before making the parody, the Beach Boys thought it was so hilarious that they did their own cover of the parody cover.

That may be the most sensible approach I’ve heard since it appears we may be past stealth and behind-the-scenes efforts to thwart and stop Iran’s nuclear efforts. I would say surgical strikes at all the known nuclear development and missile sites.

The SA-10 (SA-N-6) Russian missile is not something to scoff at.

I read that Russians were selling them the new SA-300 system. Are they the same thing or is there a difference?

Russia is a petrostate. Iran is a petrostate. KSA is a petrostate. The USA is a petrostate.

The Russians have always wanted the KSA. It was why they invaded Afghanistan in the first place.

In the ME, it is becoming Sunni v. Shiite. The Russians don’t care, as long as Iran wins.

Iran believes if they do, then even though it appears the Russians are using them, Iran will turn the tables.

The US is backing Iran. They have Iranians placed high up in the WH, and there is Muslim Brotherhood throughout government.

Very soon, it will be Israel v Everybody Remaining.

It’s a MISPRINT ... it should say ...

Netanyahu said Okasha’s words are proof IRAN cannot be trusted.

I hope that didn’t confuse anyone ... :-) ...

Egypt has a “Palestinian problem” too. It’s called Hamas. Egypt cooperates with Israel against Hamas!

A whole lot of people in the U.S., including conservatives in that bunch, were all over Bush for having too many wars and too much war. I wasn’t in that bunch, but I do recognize that people do get tired of war after a while and will do anything to get out of them.

tired of war

A free people can never get tired of doing what is necessary to preserve their freedom and national security.

So, what I think people are actually tired of is "those involved in war who are making no effort to win." The US totally, unconditionally defeated 2 major economic powers in world war two in a little more than 3 years. We went all out toward victory.

We've been piddling around with Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and the like for two decades now. THAT is what they're tired of. It is immoral to shed the blood of your troops in causes to which you aren't committed.

For as long as Al-Sisi is in control of Egypt, I think Israel has a friend in the Middle East. Al-Sisi’s recent speech condemning radical Islam and ISIS was powerful stuff. If only an American president would make such a speech!

A high-yield dirty bomb on the ground at Bushehr would make the place uninhabitable for many years. Israel needs to go Fukushima/Chernobyl on Iran in this one location, for starters.

The S300 uses the SA-10 (or SA-N-6 (Navy variant)) missile. The system (S300) allows for tracking of 100 contacts and targeting of 12/24/36 contacts. Latest versions of the SA-10 missile can travel at Mach 6 and engage targets at Mach 8.5.

...So a very capable missile with a method of engaging multiple targets. It can self target in the terminal semi-active homing phase so the target will not know of the threat until just prior to missile impact.

This almost makes me think the reporting is flawed.

I can see Netanyahu saying Egypt is an enigma right now, but to put a guy down that states what most of us think that support Israel, seems a bit strange.

Later in the report he touches on Iran not being trustworthy, and I wonder if the reporter didn’t screw up his target with one of these comments.

I think it’s a typo. Author meant to type in Iran.

Even if you substitute Iran for Egypt, it still makes no sense. Why would the words quoted be proof of anything?

Because Egypt, a muslim country, is calling for Iran to get bombed. It would be like your family member calling for you to get blasted. For those who don’t like you, it would be proof to them if your own brother agreed that you deserve being blasted.

How effective was the Israeli strike against the Syrian nuclear effort, both from the immediate and long range perspective?

I understand the dislike. Is Okasha considered close to the government? It sounds to me like one man sounding off.
