Even if you substitute Iran for Egypt, it still makes no sense. Why would the words quoted be proof of anything?

Because Egypt, a muslim country, is calling for Iran to get bombed. It would be like your family member calling for you to get blasted. For those who don’t like you, it would be proof to them if your own brother agreed that you deserve being blasted.

It shows that EVEN FELLOW MUSLIMS don’t trust Iran in getting nuclear weapons ... :-) ...

For those to whom this does not make sense, read up on the history of Sunni and Shia fight. It began a few years after the death of Mohammed, and has continued bitterly for the subsequent 1400 years. To further understand this read up on the battles of the Protestant Reformation, the Thirty Years War, and events like the Albigensian Heresy and the destruction of the Cathars, and the Spanish Inquisition. The Muslim world is engaging in the same kind of fight 400 years later than we did. If we are wise we will “let you and him fight” and sit this out as much as possible.

Here is an extensive article on the differences, with many useful links on details:

Here is an article with a two minute video explaining Sunni and Shia. The video was made before Malaki was removed from power in Iraq. There are a number of detailed comments. I don’t know if it was the site, or my computer, but I couldn’t get the video to run. Then I started reading the Comments and after a while the Video began. There is a GOOD MAP showing distribution of religions in the region.
