A long time like in every other state, but it is supposed to be illegal where as NY City wants non Americans voting in theirs. So the question is, can we in the south vote in NY City if this law passes?

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy
- Attributed to Alexander Fraser Tytler (15 October 1747 5 January 1813)

As New York City goes, Dromm said, so goes the rest of the world.
There are things to like about New York, but it is hardly the center of the universe. That said, what does it mean to be an American citizen if your local city/town council can just decide that your citizenship is meaningless when it comes to deciding who will represent you?

The is what the America-hating, commie bastards, aka “democRATS” do. The sleazy lice can’t get elected in a fair and honest election. The crotch dwellers have to manufacture illegal votes.

The Right to Vote sometimes called the ‘Franchise’ is when you come right down to it the ONLY thing now-a-days that separates a Citizen from a Non-citizen. And these absolute fools are going to GIVE that away too?
In that case why be a citizen of the United States, Anyone anywhere has the same right to vote in our elections and therefore influence our political process.
Beware the consequences I say of decisions like this. The intended as well as unintended consequences may indeed be dire and permanent.

Like jihadis acting up on an airliner, they're testing, pushing. Pushing for all-out globalism.
This is child's play now -- just to get headlines. If the financial system tanks again, it will become a freight train.

You would think this could be constitutionally challenged as a denial of the right to vote by legal citizens, on the grounds their votes are being nullified by illegal voters.

If any of those non citizens start voting republican, watch those councilmen who supported this, change their tune.

Daniel Dromm is the gay vegan who introduced legislation to ban the Central Park horse-drawn carriages. There's a special place reserved in hell for men people like him.
