Sarah Kemp Brady, the widow of former White House Press Secretary James Brady, died Friday after battling pneumonia, her family said in a statement. She was 73.

It is a sad state of affairs when a whole society demands gun control in place of controlling the user of the gun.

What's next? Chainsaws? Broad-axes? Pet snakes? Butter knives? Rabid squirrels?

Please be a peace, Mrs. Brady.

I don’t care much about it. She was an ignorant woman who attacked the wrong issue.

May she Rest in Peace.

Agreed. She has a lot of blood on her hands. The Sandy Hook Elementary school children and employees that were killed for starters.

I guess she was so worried about being shot that she forgot to get her pneumonia shot with her flu shot last October or November.

I won’t even try to top that! Congratulations!

We just had the anniversary of the Reagan/Brady shootings a few days ago. Hard to believe it is now 34 years since that happened.

A few months prior to that, John Lennon was gunned down outside his West Side NY apartment. Then President-elect Reagan was in NYC the day after and was asked about whether the Lennon shooting makes a good case for more gun control.

Reagan's response was perfect. I forget the exact words but he condemned the tragedy and went quickly on to say that such crimes should never result in denial of rights for law-abiding citizens. Reagan didn't even bend on this when he was shot himself on that fateful March day in Washington D.C.

Gun grabbers never mention the crimes that are prevented or averted by the fact that law-abiding citizens may be carrying firearms. In fact, criminals actually feel safer plying their trade in areas where they are reasonably certain nobody else will be carrying. That's why you don't see a lot of mugging, robbery and other nonsense in places like Kentucky and Wyoming.

We don't look to ban automobiles because a few jerks do reckless things with them that result in others getting killed.

Claire Boothe Luce had a throw pillow on her sofa that said,

“If you don’t have anything nice to say about someone, come sit next to me.”

Guns don't kill people.

Pneumonia does.

Name one.

Sarah Brady has saved countless lives.

Her tireless efforts at gun control energized millions of voters to go to the polls in support of increased RKBA freedoms.

It gives me great pleasure to know that Sarah Brady lived long enough to see this:

Turn into this:

Rest in peace, Mrs. Brady and thank you for all you've done.

I don't celebrate her demise, but I will not miss her now that she's gone. I celebrate her failure as a gun control advocate.

I don’t know if that map is accurate. Arizona was definitely a carry state in 1986.

FYI ..Louise Slaughter - Communist- NY, has announced that she is going to “run” again at age 87.

Now this nasty old traitor, I will celebrate when she croaks. I’m hoping that she kicks the bucket before the election.

Keep it classy, FReepers.

Not going to say anything disparaging. Prayers for the family. That's the extent of what I can muster.
