I agree and thank Drew68 for posting the maps.
In New York there are certain counties that are ‘shall issue’ provided that you pass the background check. Luckily, we reside in one of those counties and had absolutely no problem in getting our “No restriction” CCW, which is observed throughout the entire state (except NYC).

Connecticut, and certain cities and counties in California, Massachusetts, and New York are examples.”
