Judge orders California to pay for inmate's sex change

A federal judge on Thursday ordered California's corrections department to provide a transgender inmate with sex reassignment surgery, the first time such an operation has been ordered in the state.

U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar in San Francisco ruled that denying the surgery to 51-year-old Michelle-Lael Norsworthy violates her constitutional rights. Her birth name is Jeffrey Bryan Norsworthy.

I have a potential solution. The inmate can have the surgery only after pledging all assets to pay for it. That means real and personal property, retirement accounts. The government and taxpayers should not be burdened with the cost. If the patient refuses to cover the cost, then refuse the services.

I think it's taken from an isolation of the phrase "pursuit of happiness".

Many evils are being committed by the left using that phrase alone and out of context. Being gay, having sex with kids, lying, stealing, hiding your money offshore, having your neighbors killed because you want their land, flying around the planet on a luxury jet while you tell others to 'conserve'... (the list goes on and on...).
