How does the Mormon community react when one Mormon tells lies about another Mormon and brags of the lie's success.

Outside of the fact that Reid is the scum of the Earth, and Romney is a very decent fellow, even if you might disagree with him on some issues? I’d like to know too...

It is officially sanctioned and widely practiced with respect to the Church's founding fathers or a general authority ... if you want to look it up, it's called Lying for the Lord.

See tagline... as a former Mormon myself, generally it is considered permissible to lie to ‘gentiles’ (any non Mormon even Jews), but it is frowned on to lie to other ‘active, temple going’ Mormons. However rarely is anything ever done about it unless it involves a member in high standing (like Romney) vs. a lower member.
Reid vs Romney, nothing will be done. Both are high standing members and the rank and file tend to GOP. Romney is more Mormon royalty than Reid (convert) so while Reid won’t be punished he will be gossiped about and thought less of. Of course converts are lower beings anyway.

Smart people know how to ask good questions. THIS is a legitimate question and I would hope the powers that exist in Salt Lake City are trolling this thread and put some action to this question that bothers a lot of us.
Reid is a convert. Romney was born into the religion.

Harry Reid's been an officially church sanctioned "Visiting Home Teacher" in the DC area. The Mormon church has put Harry Reid "to work."
Scum like Harry Reid are known as “Jack” Mormons in the Mormon community. In other words, Mormons in name only (MINO).
A “Jack” Mormon will lie, cheat, and steal just like any other Democrat.

Few Mormons are Temple Mormons, so they are not privy to the inner elite’s secrets, so their opinion wouldn’t be very useful.
Reid, Romney, and Beck, are all Temple Mormons, they all are allowed into the Temples and participate in the secrets within, secrets and access which is forbidden to outsiders and regular Mormons, who are not allowed inside the mysterious temples.
Their Temple status is earned through investigatory interviews every two years by church leadership for religious purity, where if they pass, they are issued the Temple I.D., if Reid had done anything wrong, he would have been disapproved, and would have returned to the lesser Mormons and their little churches.
Also the ribs...don't forget the ribs...Mormons never do.
