Thanks for posting that. I remember the incident. I didn’t know he was Amish.
Should that matter?
It should never matter... but somehow, it always seems to matter.
Or liberal betters have decided the best way to handle diversity is to not make Mad Men mad.
So... no names released and no statement as to which of the two was locked out, eh? Hmmmm......
I could have said ditto but you said it so perfectly ditto did not seem to do it justice.
being talked about now on CNN... how they have not released the names, and how we have yet to hear much about the pilots... says it is unusual that we still have not heard much about the pilots...
When 9/11 happened, the drive-bys were marveling at the novelty of the idea of turning airliners into missiles.
But at the time, I remembered the FedEx real-life case and had read Tom Clancy's fictional imaginings (disgruntled JAL 747 Captain Sato and the Capitol in the middle of a SOTU). So, the concept wasn't new to me, LOL!
No, FDR has not been found at all.
The chassis it is mounted on was found, but not the recorder itself.
There are only water activated beacons on the recorders.
That is not a German name.
Apparently it is a virtual pilot after all.
A Chinese name. ZBAA is Beijing.
VERY inexperienced, about a year. Total time in the air: a little over 20 days, 274 total flights.
In the U.S. such a person could not be hired by an airline. The minimum is 1500 hours.
This introduces the possibility that incompetence was a contributing factor in this crash.
Supposedly a Malaysian Female.
A fictional name. Vatstats.net is a flight simulator / ATC simulation hobbyist site.
Somebody on that site apparently extended virtual pilot Aning Wong's flight biography to place her in the fatal cockpit. Twitter did the rest. And, yes, I fell for it, too.
Has it occurred to people that if the protocol is whenever a pilot has to leave the cockpit, a flight attendant has to be in the cockpit, that the flight attendant could have incapacitated the pilot in the cockpit and then locked the door.
Could very well be that neither of the pilots were involved, you’d need to look at the entire flight crew including the attendants.
The pilots name was Wong? Like Sum Ting Wong?
To answer what happened one needs to FIRST ask the names and religions of both the pilots, especially the co-pilot on deck during the crash.
It wasn’t real, sorry.
