In the U.S. such a person could not be hired by an airline. The minimum is 1500 hours.
This introduces the possibility that incompetence was a contributing factor in this crash.

According to
Le Figaro the 1st pilot had 10 years experience and had more than 6000 hours on Airbus planes. The co-pilot was hired in September 2013 and had 630 h of flight experience. Le Figaro quotes the Lufthansa via AFP.

Somebody on that site apparently extended virtual pilot Aning Wong's flight biography to place her in the fatal cockpit. Twitter did the rest. And, yes, I fell for it, too.
