Why Germanwings Flight Might Have Crashed Over the Alps
ABC News ^ | 03/24/2015 | SCOTT MAYEROWITZ

Airplanes don't just fall out of the sky. The Germanwings plane that crashed Tuesday in France was at the safest part of flight. Yet, something went horribly wrong, leading to the death of 150 passengers and crew.

The first clue about what could have happened will be the wreckage itself. If the debris field is pretty compact, the plane most likely hit the mountains intact. If it is scattered, the plane probably broke up midair.

Looks like it began its descent as it crossed the French coast, and continued down until it impacted the rising terrain. Would be interested to learn if the pilot had received air traffic instructions to move to a lower altitude, and then never pulled out of the descent.

Anyone remember that plane in south Florida where the oxygen generators in the cargo hold caught fire?

Smoked everyone including the crew and it augured straight down into the swamp.

While in it’s descent and not radioing, a major clue is that it continued on it’s COURSE:

It suggests the pilots were somehow incapacitated or busy with some other task:

LIKE FIGHTING OFF AN ATTACKER(s).

Cockpit take-over..?

Airbus usually a great plane—I’ve flown on them many times.

The pilot's name was Dave. He wanted to pull up.

But the airbus computer told him:
