Monday on Fox News Channel’s “The Five,” panel was was not enthusiastic about the presidential campaign launched today by Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
While Kimberly Guilfoyle was the most positive and Dana Perino tried to keep an even balance by discussing both strengths and weaknesses in the Cruz candidacy, it was Eric Bolling and Greg Gutfeld who had the strongest cases against Cruz launching an ultimately successful bid to win the presidency.

A concern troll is one that appears to be on your side, but with most any idea that is key to your point and put forth they find some way to find the downside of it, often out of “concern” how Republicans, etc. might be perceived.. It is very subtle but there nonetheless.
Yes, Dupree is a regular on WSB radio and on Hannity I guess but he is not on their “staff” per se working behind the scenes. He is a DC based reporter that is consulted into various venues. You hardly ever hear him just say, “I agree” and let it go at that. Always some kickback and downside.
FOX is an enemy of Team Cruz. No better than MSLSD!
More specifically, he is actually a Cox Correspondent/Reporter, DC based, and contributes to several radio stations.
I basicall call both of those types as liberal RINOs. Same thing for the GOP-e is they are anti-conservative. They will never go on the attack against the liberals/democrats or call out their lies. I read the Jeb Bush “Right to Rise” PAC mission statement and it was so limp wristed and namby pamby about this being a lost decade and for the last 8 years only the top earners did well financially, not going on the attack of Obama or Obamacare or any of the failed foreign policies that need to change and NO mention of Islamo-terrorism. That to me is shady and not any different than the liberals tactics.

I see good news for Ted Cruz. His numbers of “Will support if nominated” are good. The reservations they have about Ted seem to be direct quotes of what’s been said here on FR.
He definitely has strengths and definitely has weaknesses. If he holds up well he’ll just about have to be offered a position in the incoming administration. Attorney General would be excellent choice, but I don’t see a vp nom for him, though it’s possible. He does seem to be the leader that holds the Base pretty solid.
Bolling’s take is surprising. He’s usually a reliable conservative.
Some of these people are very sophisticated in their particular advocacy and you really have to listen to what they say over a long period of time to detect it. One clue is to just look for short statements like “I agree” and no “however, but, etc.” following.
I usually watch The Five but I missed them yesterday. How Dana Perino got the job of WH spokes person is beyond me. She stammers when she talks and it drives me crazy.
Dupree is a Congressional Corespondent who appears frequently on several radio talk shows. He covers congress from the inside and from what I have heard he appears neutral and has not taken any political side on issues he reports on.
She really got he job as WH Spokesperson by default towards the end of the Bush Administration. She worked for Tony Snow and when he left the WH, he endorsed her.
The White House fell back on the Fox News penchant. Put a good looking blond in the spot.

Well I tend to disagree as I have seen her defend a lot of core conservative values. FWIW there are a lot of different types of conservatives and we all live under the same tent.
I know you don’t like that but that is how I feel about it.

Whew! I feel so much better now! I KNEW there was some additional reason why I NEVER watch “THE JIVE 5” besides my aversion to Beckel’s BS. Yes, Gutfeld and whatsizface are clever and quick-witted with cutting remarks. But IMHO, they’re often too clever by half and badmouth people they SHOULD be respecting, and thereby reveal that there eruditia while miles wide is only 1/32” deep!
