CNN/ORC Poll: Hillary Clinton Maintains Double-Digit Lead Over All Republican Hopefuls Surveyed

Email-gate may have dominated the headlines over the past few weeks, but evidently the scandal hasn’t trickled down to the grassroots level—at least not yet. And perhaps it never will. To wit, a newish CNN/ORC poll, which conducted head-to-head hypothetical matchups between Hillary Clinton and all the leading presumptive Republican hopefuls, is anything but positive news for the GOP. Though Jeb Bush (16 percent) leads the pack of Republicans, no candidate even comes close to defeating Hillary Clinton one-on-one (via Bill Kristol):

…none of the top candidates in this field gets within 10 points of Hillary Clinton in a series of hypothetical general election matchups.

Rand Paul comes closest, with 43% saying they'd be more likely to back him while 54% choose Clinton. The two candidates who currently top the GOP field, Bush and Walker, match up equally against Clinton, with each carrying 40% to her 55%. Huckabee gets 41% to Clinton's 55% and Carson has 40% to Clinton's 56%.

"It isn't, it's manipulation by the MSM too discourage republican voters, nothing else."

MSM is trying to exploit the need of many citizens to support a winning football team imo.

Polls have several purposes.

They are filler, filling space that might otherwise be used to report actual news. Instead of telling you about something, they tell you how people feel about something. Its an easy substitute for reporting.

They are used to shape public opinion, again, by leading you to believe that a majority of people think ‘x’ whether in fact they do or not.

And they are used as feedback for the propagandist, to let him know if his PR is being effective, and how to sharpen and focus it. Note that the polls used to shape opinion and the polls used as feedback may not be the same polls. The one is purposely manipulated; the second needs to be reasonably accurate. The public may or may not see the second unless it fulfills the needs of the first.

We seem to forget how huge the uninformed voting population is. Over the last 8 years especially, we have built a larger dependency crowd. They won’t vote away their new found wealth in sugar daddy government. We have added throngs of illegals and government workers.

I said it last election and the election before that. I still believe it but hope I am wrong. We will never get another Republican President. It’s a numbers game now and the democrats won it. We are too stupid to govern ourselves and deserve to be enslaved (as a voting nation, that is).

I’m sure CNN rigged the survey and/or its participants. But I don’t doubt its close to 50/50. Half the country would vote for democrats if the party announced support for slavery in America.

If you don’t trust a news organization, there is no reason to trust its polls.

Yes, and Ronald Reagan was losing 60-30 in the polls to the simpleton Jimmy Carter in January 1980. The very elderly Mrs. Clinton has name recognition; Walker is getting it in Republican circles while the press has been focusing on the has-been Bush who is somehow crowned by them as “front runner” when Walker is the choice of most I’ve met.

Yup....when you elect a dolt like Obama, twice....I’m not shocked she’s in the lead. People still think the USA has the voting demographics from the Bush 43 run in 2000...we don’t !

and if the media did their job and reported how corrupt the Clintons are as well as how H Clinton has been avoiding the truth then her numbers would be in single digits.

The Ministry Of Propaganda uses polls to manipulate opinions, not measure them.
She will win if the GOP does what I expect them to and nominate Jebster.
It doesn’t have to be that way.

Exactly. We are so far over the political Rubicon at this point the only possible fix is an Article 5 convention.

There is a reason why CNN was called the Clinton News network years ago. Today they are covering for her again.

You vastly underestimate the stupidity of a majority of Americans in a national election.

I think the vast majority of D voters could care less about corruption or anything else. They just want the gravy.

If Obama went on tv tomorrow, pulled out his Kenya birth certificate, and said “I’m running again in 2016”, he probably wins the election.

How is this possible?
Pretty easy if you consider the fact that 47% of the electorate are on the government dole in one form or another.
And you can be assured that 47% will vote to keep and/or increase that largess. Of the candidates mentioned, how many have said they will increase welfare? Add in unemployment benefits and other perks and ------SHAZAM------ Low Information Voters will vote Hillary over any Republican and for sure over any Conservative.

The American voter is so degenerate that Hillary Clinton could shoot Pope Francis to death on public television with 300,000,000 viewers watching and she would still be elected in 2016. Of course there is the recent influx of Mexican voters adding to the total Hillary vote total. Lastly, look who the voter put into the White House TWICE! Sorry but Hillary is the next President finishing the tremendous damage inflicted by the current administration.

The poll only means two things. The first is they are afraid to put Cruz in the poll and second is a RINo will not beat Hillary because their voters will get for Hillary.
