I always thought it would be neat to reward people for voting by giving them $10 off their tax bill with proof they went to the polling booth. I wouldn’t be of interest to the rich or the poor but the middle class would pay attention.
This is the lesson the Dems have drawn from their mid-term shellackings of 2010 and 2014.
Not that they are off on the wrong track, not that they need to re-connect with the voters on issues that really matter to them.

Forcing them to show proof of voting to get an Obamaphone or food stamps should fix the problem.
I was actually thinking the voting age should be raised to 35 and we should repeal the 19th ammendment.... but I’m not expecting a lot of support on those two items....

But if everyone has to have a photo I.D., doesn't that disenfranchise minority voters who don't have a way to get photo I.D.s?
Isn't that why requiring photo I.D. to vote illegal?
But if requiring photo I.D. is illegal, doesn't that make mandatory voting requirements unenforceable?
