The Hastert Rule is dead; Nancy Pelosi runs the House
Red State ^ | March 17th, 2015 | streiff

see, two landslide elections did accomplish something.

...

the “doc fix” is simply and end run around the deficit accounting process. What is more unsettling is the way this piece of legislation came about. It seems to signal that the era of the “Hastert Rule,” where the Speaker will not entertain legislation without the consent of the majority of his caucus, is dead.

...

The fact that the Speaker went to the Democrats first to get votes on this spending deal shows the extent to which Boehner has been mortally injured as a leader. It also tells us that the House may very well have become less conservative than the Senate.

Why can’t the House Republicans vote this rat bastard out?

Some days it is very difficult to read the political news. They are winning......nobody is stopping them. Just like hitler.

The world will be on fire soon.

Dems vow to protect Boehner from conservative coup

Tea Party Republicans contemplating a bid to oust Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) shouldn’t count on Democrats to help them unseat the Speaker.

And without their support, there is no chance to topple Boehner in this Congress.

Nothing new, the ‘doc fix’ is popular because medicare is popular.

Pelosi has been running the House for years, for all intents and purposes.

“Why can’t the House Republicans vote this rat bastard out?”

Why did Hillary obtain 900 FBI files when Bill became President? Why is the NSA capturing telephone conversations of every American?

Answer, there are few patriots but many compromised women and men serving in Congress.

Maybe if the headline is big enough, such as:

Pelosi supports Republicans!

She might finally blow her last gasket.

Drastic action is called for. Expel Boehner from the Republican caucus. If that isn't enough, then conservative leadership needs to go to Boehner and explain that that conservatives will be withdrawing from the party and Boehner will lose his majority. The current situation is worse than being in the minority since Boehner is so clearly compromised and working for the Rats.

Loaned that one to my sister when I finished it. Now I have ordered a new copy of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. I am especially interested in the rise part.

The best chance was back in January. I watched online as the vote took place.

My most distinct memory of that day was how shocked I was when Mia Love voted ‘Boehner’. That was the first sign that we conservatives were so totally screwed. It has been one disappointment, one betrayal, one nail in the coffin ever since.
