No excuse not to have your voice heard.

Done.
I definitely agree with this in principal but, is is just me or does it strike anyone else as a gun grabber Trojan horse?
Describing all .223/5.56 as armor piercing seems like a good excuse to the ATF to ban all of ‘em
Awesome. Now they ignore the faxes, too.
Not really. The BATFE seems to have a long-standing mandate to find every way possible to interpret law as to limit lawful activity. Many of us have actually been expecting this particular limitation (M855 ban) for a long time. I don’t see this tactic leading to any more bans, unless there are other steel-”core” (loosely defined) bullets being made/imported (none that I know of).
The legal definition of “armor piercing” has nothing to do with ability to pierce armor.
I wish more on our side understood this, as it’s leading to a whole lot of misguided/unnecessary hysteria.
Thanks.
Understood. And i did the second letter. I just looked at the first letter and questioned why not just just address the M855.
The only effective way to influence a bureaucracy is to reduce funding for it.
DONE!!
It’s good people are being vocal. However, in the manual published in January-a month before the atf announced the proposal-the part about the exemption on m855 had already been removed.
They have no plans to take any position, other than an outright ban, seriously.
The ban was a foregone conclusion.
See below article. There was never an intention of considering anything other than ban.
Yep. The 30 day comment window the atf offered was only for addressing how to best put the ban into effect. Not if it should be banned or not.
It’s a trial balloon to test the “sporting purposes” language, and get it as an accepted litmus test to apply to other ammo bans...
Done. And, thanks for the post.
Thanks Red in Blue PA.
