The left realizes that the fearless Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is becoming a serious threat as the rights potential presidential candidate. So, true to their politics of personal destruction, the leftist media has united in a full-on pre-emptive assault to take Walker down. That included a blatant lie about the governors effort to conceal the reporting of campus rapes.
Last Friday Jezebel, a politics-and-pop-culture website replete with vicious and foulmouthed radical feminists, posted an attack on Walker written by senior reporter Natasha Vargas-Cooper. Vargas-Cooper is no novice to pop culture journalism, though she apparently doesnt feel bound by any Old School journalistic standards of factuality and objectivity (and why should she? The mainstream media long ago decided that the aim of journalists should be, not fair and balanced reportage, but social justice activism). The daughter of leftist journalist Marc Cooper, her writing has been featured in all the usual media outlets from The New York Times and The Atlantic Monthly to HuffPost and Salon.
Her short article, straightforwardly titled Scott Walker Wants Colleges to Stop Reporting Sexual Assaults, claimed that his proposed state budget has a non-fiscal bombshell tucked in between its insane pages:

The left destroys anyone who is a threat to their entrenched power. They keep a file on each potential threat. When they need something, they look in the file. If they don’t have anything, there is always some deceitful democrat who is willing to lie and/or violate the person’s privacy to dig into his personal life.
There is no such thing as pop culture journalism.
It's not just the left. The Republican Establishment thinks exactly the same way about conservatives.
Look at how viciously Romney attacked Gingrich, and then how meekly and gently he "criticized" (barely) the Chosen One.
The rape on colleges campaign is because of the recent episode in the House, where a bill failed because a few Republican feminists did not think the rape exception was was strong enough. To them, it is enough for a woman to say what rape is. Even if it was a case where she was not using protection and ha invited the guy into her bed. If six months later, she is pregnant and decides he should not be the father of her child, because she didnt experience the big-O, she c an abort the kid.
She should be sued for liable.
Sounds like the Liberal media tried to gang rape Gov. Walker.
One of Jezebel’s writers once wished it was Scott Walker when actor Paul Walker was found dead. And did not see any need for a real apology on that. That they would feel a need to do so here is truly saying something.
Anyone familiar with Gawker media or Jezebel in particular would know that they cannot be trusted to report on any issue deeper than a puddle. Do a little research and you will find Jezebel has a history of shrieking hysteria that has been proved false by 15 minutes of real journalism.
The publication is a joke and should stick to important womynz issues such as chiding men for “slut shaming” or giving the latest round of nagging about “gamergate.”
Not too many false articles being written about, say, Haley Barbour or Rick Perry.
Reporter for leftist rag reluctantly apologizes for Scott Walker smear.

Libel.
There’s no such thing as journalism anymore either.
Good point.
