NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland In a surprise speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) unloaded on former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushsystematically dismantling Bushs push for amnesty and a massive increase in guest workers from around the world.
Right now, there are two conferencesone of them in public where candidates are out there having to speak and defend and answer questions on their views and on their positions on important issues facing America, Sessions said to open up his remarks to the Breitbart News-sponsored meet-and-greet with CPAC activists. Many people at this conference here and watching it from abroad are evaluating them, judging them and asking themselves whether or not their visions, their ideas, their character will be used to advance the interests of the American people and this republicand thats the way it ought to be.
However, Sessions cited a Washington Times article saying Mitt Romneys former top fundraising aide Spencer Zwick, praised Jeb Bushs stance on immigration, saying the party should follow his lead if the party hopes to win back the White House.
If someone wants to be serious about running for president, they need to be in a similar place [to Bush], Zwick said on a conference call with GOP donors organized by Americans for Tax Reform president Grover Norquista key figure at CPAC since he is a board member of the American Conservative Union (ACU). The ACU hosts CPAC every year, but the organization under new chairman Matt Schlapp has seen a shift away from the establishment wing of the GOP it had under old chairman Al Cardenas.
Ill tell you one thing: Its the people of this country that run this country, Sessions responded, pushing back against the donor communitys push for other Republican candidates to abandon their constituents...

Well said.
The Reagan democrats is who Sessions was talking about.
The Bushes, all of them, spent their entire times in office dismantling Reaganism, and/or continuing Clintonism. It’s how we got to 9/11.
Grover Norquist is an Arabist, hes married to an Arab muslim woman. Money swears, and the oily Bushes grease their jaws with this same Saudi shiite, the same as Jimmah Cahtah.
Sessions had a lot of company voting for Holder. As they say “ do not overlook the good in search for the perfect”. None are perfect. However, my great Senator has proven over and over again that he stands with the people. He is steadfast in our defense.
Ditto. It’s really depressing when the voice of an adult is mocked as extremist.
“Sessions had a lot of company voting for Holder”
Making poor decisions and hiding behind “they did it too!” is a sorry excuse.
Has Sessions ever publicly admitted his mistake of his vote?
Jeff Sessions is a political hero down here in Bama. When Cruz chooses Sessions as his Vice President wingman, all will be right in America. Roll Tide.
In my humble opinion, I think we are seeing a “separating of the sheep and the goats” thing among members of congress. Unfortunately there are those who have been given over to a reprobate mindset and are leading our nation down a slippery slope . . . .the only hope of recovery coming miraculously from our Lord God Almighty!
Possible élite rationales:
The low-end Negroes having proven an intractable problem, perhaps it is cheaper to simply pay them to play nice, dilute their voter strength by outnumbering them, and use Latinos as a lower-end work force?
The Third World Populations of Africa and Asia are exploding, perhaps Latinos can be more useful and be used to control the numbers of overly intelligent Asians and Africans in this country?
The Blue Collar American Worker (too many of whom are beginning to resemble the tattooed fatsos with bad attitudes in the Wal-Mart parking lot) needs to be replaced by more docile Latinos who will do as they're told for less money and are potentially better at the service jobs that dominate the new economy, are polite, and weigh in at less than 350?
Look at the trouble potential of millions of Muslim immigrants. Maybe it is better for us to become just another Latin American country, rather than something like Sweden, where violent Muslims run amok?
Or how about the European excuse for demographic suicide: we need young workers to pay for the social benefits of old workers who forgot to have any children, or lost them in the war?
Search me, Pal. I got no clue as to what Jeb and the gang are thinking, but I have excellent math skills. We will have a Latino majority before the next century, no matter what the élite rationale is. ¡Sí, es probable, gringo!
I could barely listen to him today and definitely unimpressive in all ways. He comes across with responses canned, not with any passion of his own. HE does not believe what he's saying....he's saying what he thinks people need to hear to get the votes he wants from all sides.
Give us Cruz! A true Conservative who believes what he says!
“In my dreams we elect Jeff Sessions President and restore the rule of law.”
Sessions has been a true patriot for decades now. I’d vote for hum in a heartbeat.
He’s proven that he can’t be corrupted by DC.
“That has to change.”
Only one way. Maybe 2.
I love if-then-else logic. Yours is depressingly accurate.
You’re pretty sure the gop is dead?
It’s passed on! This party is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet it’s maker!
It’s a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! It’s metabolic processes are now history! It’s off the twig! It’s kicked the bucket, it’s shuffled off it’s mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!!
THIS IS AN EX-PARTY!!
Bush, during his interview with Fox News Sean Hannity on stage at CPAC, accused those who have the viewpoint widespread increases in immigration would hurt American workerspeople including Sessionsof having liberal viewpoints.
Liberals always seem to be accusing others if being and doing what they themselves are doing.
Oklahoma also passed an anti-illegal bill that had the illegals scurrying to surrounding states. That bill was never thrown out by an activist judge, either. Proves that self-deportation works.
“Jeff Sessions has been the one Senator standing for the citizens for years against amnesty.”
Yes, he has. Back when Tancredo and Hunter were leading the House to pass HR4437, the BEST anti-illegal bill ever, Sessions was the line reed in a sea of RINOs. I give him lots of credit for standing firm all these years and not letting DC corrupt him. He is a strong man.
“When Cruz chooses Sessions as his Vice President wingman, all will be right in America. “
Wouldn’t that be a dream ticket! Two southern boys , no less!
Considering that conservatism rules in the South, I wholeheartedly agree with you!
Jeff Sessions, the Last American Patriot
