The 2016 presidential campaign mightve just witnessed the most outlandish question posed to a potential candidate yet Saturday.
In an interview with The Washington Posts Dan Balz and Robert Costa, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was asked whether he believes Barack Obama is a Christian.
Walker immediately responded with, I dont know, which served as the Posts headline for the reporters hard-hitting examination of the possible 2016 contender.
Walker went on to clarify his response in the interview.
Ive actually never talked about it or I havent read about that, Walker said, in a voice Balz and Costa noted was calm and firm.
Ive never asked him that, he added. Youve asked me to make statements about people that I havent had a conversation with about that. How [could] I say if I know either of you are a Christian?

Last night, two hacks from the Washington Post recycled the trick. The difference is this time Twitter exploded:............." Recycled Stupid Media Tricks Asking Scott Walker If Obama Is A Christian [how did Hillary answer]
Hillary: As far as I know.
WaPo should ask the American people. Do a poll. Publish that.
“No, no and no. Next question.”
No. No. No.
Next question....
Damn, didn’t scroll down far enough to see your answer....
I haven’t met anyone in a long time who still believes Obama’s a Christian. Without a doubt the interviewer doesn’t believe it, either. They’re baiting the candidates to watch them squirm.
The answer should have been, “I don’t know, but it seems most of the American people think that Obama is a Muslim. It would be best to do a poll of the American people, if you’re interested in people’s opinion on this question.”
You should work for Hillary or Elizabeth Warren if that is your “seeing more clearly now” advice to a GOP candidate.
These leftists are constantly changing the subject, avoiding substance, and playing a "gotcha" game.
Why do they want Scott Walker to answer questions they themselves failed to answer? Are they working toward socialism and "jobs" working for the regime?
Why do they not talk to the people of Wisconsin? ...or, for that matter, to the people of this country?
Are they nothing but character assassins?
Walker should have just responded, “Why do you ask that? Is there something about him that prompts that question?” and then left it at that.
I’ll say this for Walker, he has the Dems, the Media, punditry and even Bushies very scared he might win the GOP nomination. They are all afraid he might knock Jeb Bush out of it and they’d have to run against someone who isn’t a CoC GOPelite shill.
They're the first wave - the front line in their battle to protect their power source and defeat the foes of socialism.
1. Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. Power is derived from 2 main sources money and people. Have-Nots must build power from flesh and blood.
2. Never go outside the expertise of your people. It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.
3. Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.
4. Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.
5. Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
6. A good tactic is one your people enjoy. Theyll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. Theyre doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.
7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Dont become old news.
8. Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.
10. If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
11. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Never let the enemy score points because youre caught without a solution to the problem.
12. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions
Another good answer for a politician might be “I don’t know. What do you think?”
From the link in Post # 11:
“The inspiration for Rules for Radicals was drawn directly from [Saul] Alinskys personal experiences over the course of his career as a community organizer.”
Isn’t it crazy that WaPo and so many other “journalists”, the very people who are SUPPOSED to ask questions (it’s their JOB), are the ones saying “oh we don’t know if it’s appropriate to ask that question” ?
But he tells us about the long history of violence associated with Catholics to this day, and how peaceful and tolerant islam is (hey they even founded the USA, the homeland he loves). With that why would he want to be associated with Christians, and why go to extraordinary lengths to deny islam?
How’s about none of the above!
You could say it's a question of what the definition of "is" is.
This is a loyalty test devised by the Joseph Goebbels Media:
Ask the target if Obama is a patriot and brand the target as disloyal if they don’t answer correctly (and there probably isn’t a correct answer, once you’re a target).
8. Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
12. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions
See Comment #11.
His answer should have been, “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask him, it isn’t clear is it? Well you don’t have to ask me, I love my country and I’m a Christian...and you’ve obviously already got my college records.” Then smile.
