Words are everything, even in the global warming debate. TV personality Bill Nye the “Science Guy” told MSNBC’s Joy Reid to use the phrase climate change, not global warming, when it’s so cold out.
“Let’s not confuse or interchange climate change with global warming,” Nye told Reid on Monday. “Global warming – The world is getting warmer. There is more carbon [dioxide] holding in more heat.”
“So when the climate changes, some places get colder,” Nye added. “And the thing that’s really consistent with climate change models is this variance where it’s cold, it’s warm, it’s cold, it’s warm… So what I would hope for, my dream, Joy, is that you all, you and the news business would just say the word climate change.”
Nye’s remarks come as the U.S. is hit by another “arctic blast” that is sweeping through the Midwest and East Coast this week with temperatures plunging across the country. Tuesday’s highs are supposed to hit 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit across the eastern half of the country. . .

Lol! Suggestion for Nye; how about using “climate difficulty”, as in difficulty getting weather patterns to match up with his lying models.
So, is Nye on Gore’s payroll or Soros’?
The way to test models is to take a set of data and look for solutions that produce the data examined. The first step of the model would be to look for a closed form solution which fits nicely. Then algorithms, variables, offsets, etc.....
The next step is to have peers (or anyone for that matter) take the model and use other historical data to see if the output matches the outcomes experienced (actually measured).
The problem with these models is that the developers cherry pick data that fits their AGW hypothesis, exclude data that doesn’t and then takes a small subset that causes the model to work, and they call that settled science.
They can either produce a model for anyone to use and input data from any time, place, etc. and run it and get an output to compare against historical measurements, or they can just STFU.
Bill Nye has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He has no academic qualifications to call himself a scientist.

From what I understand, Nye is a mechanical engineer. Engineering is a profession, and one of the biggest no-nos of engineering is to claim expertise outside of what one has carefully studied and proven capable of doing. In other words, a mechanical engineer shouldn’t claim expertise on the environment, because that is not something mechanical engineers are trained or qualified on. Correct me if I’m wrong fellow engineers.
