Oddly, I now have more respect for her. I couldn’t sit through it sober either

She’s had surgery for pancreatic cancer. Should she be drinking wine? Hasn’t alcohol abuse been connected to pancreatic cancer?

I think that that aphorism is ironic.

She said she had a couple of glasses of wine. But she didn't specify just how large the glasses were.

She can’t be that bad. After all, she’s holding on and not resigning.

My grandmother was that way, too ... a lot of naps ... :-) ...

I would say that at a certain point you just become too old to be up for what the job requires ... just a fact of life. The problem is, no one wants to put an age limit on this job!

She could have taken the easy way out, and said she ‘overslept’, but no, this ‘judge’ has to come out and brag about being stone cold drunk in public. This judge needs to retire, and the Obots have been looking to get rid of her now anyway. Maybe she’s daring the Obots to try it.

I heard once (decades ago) that judges in Texas were permitted to drink while hearing cases “as long as it is for medicinal puposes...”
