And “gay marriage,” Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC) for illegal aliens, the IRS attacking the Tea Party and veterans, the surveillance state, people being forced to bake cakes for homosexuals, DREAMers and so much more...
The month I was born, and I’m an old man now.
the article’s author has nothing much to worry about...
with Boehner and McCOnnell in charge...
(and with, quite possibly, a ‘mainstream Republican’ in the WH)
Obama’s Transformation will stay in place, and even expand further
(The author just won’t be invited to as many political cocktail parties, is all)
Isn,t “stupid liberals” redundant stupid speech?
He was a stunt man in the movie ‘Casino’, he was in the head in a vice scene.
I weem to remember just prior to this a-hole poser coming to power that the dems were about to run the pubbies out of bidness just like the Whigs.
My, how things have changed.
Great job there odumbo.
The delusion runs deep with this one. We already have one party, the uniparty, and corruption is its credo.
We can expect all sorts of articles like this from both the gop and rat factions of the uniparty in the run up to 2016. Each will be trying to highlight the “vast” differences between the two factions and why you must participate in their carefully scripted electoral drama to prevent imminent disaster to you and yours.
While the rhetoric is of course different, the actual policies when either faction is in office differ very little. Absolute control by the rat or gop faction or mixed control will have the same basic end result. Its plantation politics and the uniparty is very, very good at it.
Hasn't this been what we have been suffering through as a nation since 2008?
America is a 50-50 nation with public support equally divided between the parties.
I would like to emphasize that the politicians on both ‘sides’ just LOVE a 50 - 50 nation. They can say and DO anything or nothing and be covered from their actions. I would even go so far as to say they are in a state of political nirvana.
That is until it all breaks down, I and others see so many cracks and fractures in our current economy and yes... civilization. Now it just becomes a bit of a waiting game to see what happens first, a SHTF situation or CWII. And really now, it’s not just the U.S., it’s the whole world economy. A small break in one segment and it can cascade like a domino structure or... like an imploding building.
Republicans had this - with Bush early in his first term. What did HE do with it? Yes he did a superb job in addressing GWOT, but it also got us TSA, DHS, Patriot Act and FISA court that NSA, DHS, CIA, FBI and everybody and their brother are using to spy on US Citizens while they call Islamic Terrorist actions "random violence" and kiss CAIR's camel butt.
An article like this one from Brent Budowsky would make great fodder for a “count the lies” drinking game...
Not to burst this guy’s dystopia, but a quick comparison of states which have “one party rule” reveals that most of those governed by Republicans are more fiscally sound and have better economic growth and lower taxes than those governed by Democrats. Yet somehow if Republicans have it all at the federal level, we’re going to h*** in a hand basket.
Especially humorous is his comparison of Right leaning and the Left leaning media outlets. He appears to have no clue as to why the Right leaning media is thriving and the Left leaning media is on life support.
I haven't been to Drudge's site in years. It's so ... 2000s.
I believe that the had control of the House and Senate, but the Senate majority was small and not filibuster proof. The full control requires 60 votes, and they didn't hit that bar.
Where do you go these days?
Reid used nuclear. Why not RINOS? Just a Senate rule. Not law.
