Howard Dean: Scott Walker 'Unknowledgeable' Because No College Degree
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 02/12/2015 4:26:38 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

What a snob! On today's Morning Joe, Howard Dean, a product of fancy prep schools and Yale, suggested that Scott Walker was unfit to be president because his lack of a college degree rendered him "unknowledgeable."

Dean's disdain for the un-diplomaed came during a discussion of Walker having declined, during his recent trip to the UK, to state whether he believes in evolution. Joe Scarborough was incredulous at Dean's diss, pointing out that people such as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg never finished college. To which list could be added super-successful and knowledgeable people from Rush Limbaugh to Steve Jobs, among many others.

Thanks!

I think I’ll give myself the day off and dedicate to pissing off libs.

Maybe it’s a good day to hang out at whole foods and open the door for the liberated women of the world.

I’d welcome other ideas if you have them:)

No proof - no accomplishment.

WHY were his records sealed instead of brought forth to brag about, eh, Howard?

I hate school but had to go back for a promotion at work which is pathetic in my opinion. Since being at college it is a joke. Students today can’t spell, lazy and, think the world is about them. They have multiple choice now in their exams, they don’t even call a test a test they now call it a quiz. They have their lowest grades thrown out at the end of a semester.

College is a frigging joke and not just because I hate school ,but because college does not make you any smarter at all.

Actually journalism is one of the worst most progressive courses of study someone could go into. Long ago guys like George Creel realized that to build a progressive population requires a progressive media.

That’s not to say that a journalism course will only turn out progressives but the odds are low after such immersion.

Personally, if I were advising someone with an interest in journalism, I would direct them away from a journalism course. They will be just fine with creative writing and literature with a menu of diverse things like history, science, mathematics etc.

Learn to write coherently and ask the basic who, what, where, when, and why questions. Make sure to solidly research and confirm the facts of your stories.

Let’s take another look at this statement.

We have been ruled since 1989 by college graduates from the best colleges available. People who spent multiple years being told how great they were and how they stood head and shoulders above the rest of us.

BTW - Ronald Reagan attend Eureka College (2015 student body - 785) not exactly the alma mater of the best and brightest.

Looking at just the last six years - how has being ruled by the best and brightest worked out?

As for “disqualifier” questions like evolution, age of the earth, etc,

I’d ask right back “how do you think that’s relevant to the office of the presidency?”

Conservative talk-show host Dennis Prager has said something like ‘one may come out of college no smarter than before entering.’ He may have even said to avoid college. Come to think of it - it’s because of LIBeral professors feeding garbage to our kids.
He has a series called ‘Prager University’ on his website. About a 5 minute ‘lecture’ from folks Prager trusts.
I have seen just a few minutes of one lecture, along with my spouse, who is now interested in having a computer solely because of ‘Prager University!’
Oh - spouse has a college degree - - -

I bet most of the folks Madoff suckered into his ponzi scheme were “degreed” liberals.

Somebody needs to put a full body condom on this clown. Hey Howie, a lot of people I know who have “college degrees” are total retards. To a lot of people, a college diploma is nothing but a tuition receipt.

Can you imagine the reaction from the left if we had a Hillsdale College graduate running?

I repost this often since he proves it every time he opens his mouth...

With every breath Howard Dean is proof that someone does graduate at the bottom of their class.

Less than 30% of americans have a Bachelor’s degree, and the democratic base is by far less educated than the republican base, so I don’t know if the Democrats want to be making “he doesn’t have a degree” a rallying cry....

I see he was asked if he believed in evolution the other day.

Yep. And Walker's declining to answer the question is what let to Dean's comments on his lack of a degree.

Everything of importance or the slight bit revealing has been locked down. Health records alone would reveal reason for head scars. Where is 0’s EASY button?

And if Walker had earned his degree from Marquette, Dean would have complained that he doesn’t have an Ivy League degree, and if Walker had a BA or BS from an Ivy League School, Dean would have beefed that he doesn’t have a graduate degree.

The two greatest presidents of the 20th Century did not graduate from elite colleges — Ronald Reagan (Eureka College) and Harry Truman (no college).

It was a damned stupid question and anyone who would vote for or against based on such a question is too stupid to vote anyway.
