I call triple BS on this. Most of not all of these illegals will work for minimum wage. If I am not mistaken most low income earners get all of their taxes refunded not to mention the earned child hood credits and other welfare benefits their US born children are eligible for. I think the US would actually save money if they were in the shadows

These figures are off a bit- seems that the average illegal/legal aliens on some form of welfare is around 52% or so- the 75% was for texas, (which actually was 70%) so take the final figure of 60 billion a year, and cut by 1/4 or so-

OK, let us examine this bit of connivance. It assumes that illegals are going to give up their underground, free-ride benefits in order to pay taxes. Maybe some will, but most will prefer to get their money tax free. In addition, legal status will dray more illegals to government programs like housing, food credits, Medicare and so on. It’s like the argument that giving illegals driver’s licenses will cause them to get insurance. Sure!

All federal expenses, saved or not saved, are just the beginning of total expenses, including those paid by ordinary, legitimate citizens. We will still bear the brunt of things like auto thefts, illegal drunk drivers, general crimes. Don’t forget the number of illegals in our school systems, or the number of illegals in our prisons. Is the federal government going to take their ill-gotten tax booty, and share the wealth?

I’d like to see their formula. If illegals take away - say - one million jobs from citizens, that would put those citizens on unemployment insurance, food stamps, and/or welfare. That would cost billions.

We don’t allow cattle to enter without a background health and ancestry check which we also reqiure of legal immigrants who wait years and still go thru health and record checks. Restore the value of American citizenship
In “countries where an American citizen decides to be a “legal” emigree never mind being a seasonal visitor. Are denied voting privledges. Own land in their own name. Face steep fines before getting kicked out let alone receive income and energy subsistance including food stamps, or bring in family members
Should we deny such full citizen privledges to any individual mark which best applies to a (emigree) (seasonal vistor) (illegal) if their country does not allow those same privledges to any citizen of the United States.
