Vice President Joe Biden said four years of college should be free, rather than two years of community college.
Weve been ahead of the curve, except now people are catching up, no other country in the world had universal education for 12 years, including Great Britain, for the first quarter of the century and only until recently have they started that in China and other countries. Nobody has the great research universities we have, Biden told the U.S. Conference of Mayors in a speech at the organizations winter meeting.
So whats the next logical move to stay ahead of the curve? 14 years. If I had my way, and could figure out how to pay for it, there should be 16 years; college should be free.
President Obama previously announced a plan to offer two years of community college for free.

Why should four years of college be free when you can simply graduate high school and go on Welfare and Food Stamps for the rest of your life? In our “no need to work to live” Welfare State, you don’t need college because you don’t need a job.
This “promise” of free money is just a ploy to regain the votes of young people that they lost in November. Who doesn’t like free money? Buying votes with the taxpayers money is rule #2 in the Democrat playbook. Right after #1, creating a victim class.
Yep. And that's one reason I hate the left's demands for "single payer" this and "single payer" that. It sounds elegant, but all it really means is "I want something, and I want someone else to pay for it."
OK, great, let’s not pay the teachers, or the administrators, or the building and grounds maintenance people, or the security, or the utility bills for the facility or the book suppliers...
after all, it’s “free”, is it not?
I want one too!
There's a deeper meaning to this ‘free’ bulls%$t, because turning rational and able bodied adults into wards of the state AIN'T wholesome for either the individual or the state.
Liberals do not want young people signing-up for military service. So you see, it works for them.
You are, of course, correct.
I predict this End Student Debt scheme of theirs will be the most wildly successful thing in turning out young clueless voters EVER.
We are SCROOOOOOOD.
If Rimshot really believed this bull****, he’d start “Rimshot Joe’s Four Years Of Free College Foundation” instead of forcing the taxpayers to pay for it.
It’s also known as indoctrination, or brainwashing. If it’s funded by the tax payers this “free” college education will be fully administered by the government - curriculum and all. I believe the Nazis implemented this type of “education”.
Wow Joe, fresh and new idea. And sure, why not? We’ll balance the checkbook later.
ø’s islamism has accelerated the emptying of Joe’s brain pan.
The ONE thing the government should be LEAST involved with is education (and they need to stay OUT of a lot of other things, too).
But, with education it’s... hand over your children ... and hand over your future.
This is suicide
His wife insists on being addressed as “Doctor” Jill Biden. Her PHD is in English!
In that case, I want reparations for college tuition I paid! And everyone that hasn’t paid for college should pay those reparations. That’s only fair...
Nobody else has the great universities we have.
So let’s change them...
What he really means is, “let’s nationalize college education. The government will approve all subject matter and financing. This would also bankrupt all those pesky private Christian colleges.
Hey Joe — 4 years is not enough. Plus need another year to account for partying. Got to be 6 years. Then what about graduate school? Why should anyone pay for that? Then what about food? Do you expect these kids to starve?
Everything is free!!! Yay! Yay! Yay! It’s just like one big Rainbow Gathering! Yay! Yay! Yay!
