John Boehner is getting revenge.
He secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to three relatively unknown members of the House Republican Conference. But he’s already punishing those who betrayed him.
First up: Florida Reps. Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent. The pair will be booted from their spots on the House Rules Committee, according to sources familiar with the decision. Webster ran against Boehner (R-Ohio) for speaker Tuesday, and Nugent supported his fellow Floridian.
The Rules Committee is a panel appointed by the speaker, and it controls the flow of legislation to the House floor. It’s a prestigious appointment for members who are loyal to leadership.

Boehner might be on top today, but he will fall, and hard down the road. Those that opposed him today stood on principal knowing the risks, and will reap rewards for their actions today. We will all help them for their commitment to honest, and conservative government.
Mr. Boehner is quite thin-skinned and most likely has an extremely small member.

I am through with this. Boehner is a total liberal in conservative clothing. He attacked the Tea party!! He and John Cornyn/ Karl Rove / Haley barbour/ Mitch Mcconnell. I hate them as much as obama. Easy there dude. We are all against those things. When I start seeing a politician calling a spade a spade I will sit up and listen. But all I'm hearing right now is various shades of gray. No politician is calling for rounding up all illegals and escorting them back to their origins. No politician is calling for total 2nd amendment rights. No politician is calling for total 10th amendment rights. We get rid of Boehner and all we get is the same B.S. from a different a$$hole.
We have to look to "we the people" for any legitimate change and what does your neighbor want?
Those who voted against Boehnor are clearly in the minority. The fact that only 25 of the reps are principled tells you something. The GOP....not just the GOPe is spineless scum.
That’s not a party I would want to be affiliated with.
I say both. Purge the traitors from within, and if that fails, Whig the entire party and start a new one with all the same people and infrastructure. Anything and everything that will bring our government back under control.
