The protesters stormed the restaurants and harassed staff and patrons.

Except there is nothing to deal with the gospel dimension, the one thing that can glue the ragged edges back together. This isn’t something that demographics could possibly predict. It has to do with souls, and only God can see souls.
THis is staged as a heads they win tails you lose.
1) you do nothing and they ruined your brunch
2) you cold clock one of them with your coffee cup., or better yet the Tabasco Bottle, and you’re a racist.

If you feel your life is in danger you are justified in using deadly force in most places. Looking at the arson, police shootings and black on white murders and assaults these thugs have done in the past, I would feel justified. If they don’t want to be treated like crimminal thugs, they should not act like one.
