TRENTON Bail has been lowered for a southern New Jersey man facing a gun possession count, a charge his lawyer calls "shocking" because he has no use of his arms due to a spinal condition.
The Times of Trenton says 28-year-old Marcus Hubbard, of Salem, has been jailed since his arrest in Trenton in August.
Authorities say he was in a car with three other men where a stolen 9mm handgun and a prescription bottle of codeine were found. All four men were eventually charged after none of them took responsibility for the items.

He was unarmed?
What the hell happened to right of a speedy trial? It doesn’t depend on which state federal it’s in the federal Constitution.
>>He was unarmed?<<
I think he was underarmed...
Whatever happens in this case, the young man needs different friends asap. Some friends, allowing this disabled man to take the rap because the guilty party won’t speak up.
Courts are so backlogged that the right to a speedy trial are long gone. Been that way for years.
I do not think that abuses of common sense will occur until officers and public officials start going to jail.
Start with the officers involved in this case, the duty officer in the jail for perjury, the DA for filing charges that are physically impossible to be true.
Gotta hand it to him.
It’s not like he was gonna strong arm anyone.
Arm of none...
Kinda makes him half the man he use to be...
Forearm’d is for warned. ..
The brunette and redhead swimmers, and all of their supporters, had left some time earlier.
The sun is going down and finally the blonde swimmer hauls herself out of the English channel and on to the beach, with one or two people still present,
and she immediately begins accusing her competitors of cheating:
“They were using their arms! I’m sure of it.”
Then it would be a legitimate expansion of government to just hire more judges. Instead Obama is expanding government to spy on everyone.
He must then face it with his legs.
That could be.
On the other hand, it’s amazing what people can do with their feet with enough practice.
Even dogs can shoot a gun.
More proof positive that New Jersey IS the nation’s toilet! Other states come close ( including my own, California) but New Jersey always manages to stay out front.
In which case he'd STILL be popular with the ladies.
I met a guy (corrections officer of all things) that had a son in jail for life due to the three-strikes law. The son had two previous convictions (drugs and burglary). He was out, through rehab and drug free. But was at a friend's house that ran out of money and beer. They used his car to go to another guy that owed the friend some money - so they could buy more beer.
Turns out the “friend” beat the other guy up for $50 while the son stayed in the car and didn't know anything about it. Accessory to the crime. I was in disbelief and really - I'm not sure that is what the “third strike” law is there for.
The dad just shook his head and said “I tried to get him to dump his old ‘friends’.”
My state government can out-stupid your state government with ease. AND - my governor can eat your governor for lunch!
BTW, "toilet" is too kind of a word for what is Trenton, NJ. I was thinking a little farther up-stream would be more appropriate but this is a family-friendly forum. :-)
