Just earlier this month, the midterm elections ended in a major drubbing. Republicans gained ground in the Senate, House and in Governors offices all over the nation. Now, just three weeks later, the first election polls are out, not for next year, but the year after. 2016. That, of course, the year voters select the next President of the United States. The poll might seem premature to some, but the two year mark is right around the time candidates start making their official announcements to run for office.
It turns out, the top vote getter in the first Quinnipiac poll is Mitt Romney. Many Americans still believe he would have been a better option than Barack Obama two years ago, especially as Obamas approval ratings continue to plummet. But the big question is: will he even run two years from now? Until this point, Romney has said time and again, his days on the campaign trail are over.
If the race for President came down to the two front runners, Romney and Hillary Clinton, poll results show Romney would squeak out a win, 45 to 44 percent. Of course, the majority of American voters are still undecided, and the political landscape is changing drastically every single week, it seems.
But one other name keeps popping up in the polls: Jeb Bush. Of course, hes the younger brother of George W Bush and the former Governor of Florida. Coming in at third place among Republicans, New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie.
Across the aisle, Hillary is running away with the top spot from Democrat pollsters. She holds a 57 to 13 lead over Senator Elizabeth Warren, with Vice President Joe Biden taking 9 percent. While Hillary commands a lead in the Democratic party, many critics feel the obstacles in her path to the White House would be too large to overcome. Of course, one of the biggest, being the Benghazi scandal and Hillarys coverup.
FReep You Mitt Romney (FUMR)!! Amnesty pimps need not apply.
Yes, let ‘em run Romney again.
This is as brilliant as inviting Stephenapolis to host our debates. When Romney gets the nomination then the democrats can use Gruber against us. Brilliant!
This is absurd. Pat Caddell, a sharp observer on the political scene, said Romney ran the worst political campaign in modern political history. What is to stop him from doing it again?
That would be hilarious!
Yep, select Mitt and hand over the presidency to the dims again. :-(
” Romney and Hillary Clinton, poll results show Romney would squeak out a win, 45 to 44 percent”
She would win by a half point after the ad blitzkrieg.
No one in the GOP will fight against Amnesty,
gay marriage and ObamaCARE harder than Mitt Romney.
And he made Massachusetts’ economy go up 10x, too.
IMO this is BS. American’s have proven just how stupid they are twice, but a third time!? THAT would mean we deserve to lose the country.
I think this recent overwhelming rejection of the Democrats, and the direction the Democrats are taking this country WITH the support of the Romney’s, the Bush’s, etc. tells us the country has awakened. NOW it’s time to point out who IS Conservative, and for this country, and who is using the term “Conservative” in an abusive self serving manner.
Romney isn’t a Conservative. His history is as a Democrat. If the Republican Party was true to the platform Romney shouldn’t be qualified to run as a Republican.
We have a couple of years to work this guy, and his RINO buddies out of the running.
Did they poll Democrats, Mormons or both?
Refused to vote for him in 2012. Won’t vote for him in 2016.

Right, “Swallow Hard” Mitt. Got it!
He’s our hero.
If they run RINOmney or Jeb or any other RINO, I will choose and vote for a third party candidate who is conservative.
What you say? “Why throw away your vote?”
I would ask you the same...
I think the MSM is again trying to pick the candidate. Subtle drawing attention. NO... Mitt is not the man. He had his chance. PLEASE.
