Soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told reporters on Tuesday, “Our goal is to fund the government.” […]

In response to another question, McConnell said, “It’s always appropriate” for Congress to “use the power of the purse.“ But he also noted that the president “has an important trump card—it’s called the veto pen.

“So, there will be ongoing negotiations in the various efforts to fund the government, both this year and next year, about priorities. This is not unusual. And we do have different priorities. And somehow we’re going to have to work out things and make progress for the American people.” …

In the last few years, I’ve said that myself. It has become crystal clear to me.

Never thought it would be.

McConnell has to go.

The Right Wing in the Senate will find a way.

In 2 years the POTUS will most likely be Cruz.

He will take matters in hand

Played you, perhaps. I don't vote for liberal Republicans. Or liberals of any kind.

Cornyn didn't get my vote.

Either way it does not matter unless Mitch gets voted out as majority leader as well as Boehner, there is going to be very little change if any.

You don't really expect that, do you? A real pragmatic would know that the liberal Republican leadership will hold their position.

Of course, a real pragmatic wouldn't vote for liberal republicans.

Things become infinitely clearer when you realize this.

Mitch McConnell: "The tax collector for the welfare state."

Actually, it was Newton Gingrich who said that of one Bob Dole, c. 1991 or maybe earlier.

I think it was Pat Buchanan who hung that label on Dole.

But McConnell now has the mantle.

So spineless Mitch McConnell celebrates his elevation to Majority Leader by— surrendering to the Democrats and the full force of the Obama agenda, which he will now argue heavily for once he assumes his post. Why am I not the least surprised. McConnell, Cornyn and their whole loser’s gallery of spineless traitor RINO’s in the Senate (McCain, Ayotte, Graham, Kirk, Rubio, Alexander, Hatch, Corker, Flake, Hoeven and Wicker) can’t wait to lick Obama’s boots, and now as “members of the majority” they’ll have cover their sycophancy.

It was largely these RINOs’ back-stabbing betrayal on that treasonous immigration reform bill that gave Obama political cover for his imperial edict on amnesty today. And McConnell’s Team RINO is already gearing up for more of the same, plus plenty of extra taxes from you and me to provide Obamacare and all kinds of other goodies for the newly amnestied.

This is the McConnell-Cornyn GOP establishment for you: Amnesty, extra cheap labor for the CoC, Mark Zuckerberg, Sheldon Adelson and the others bribing the GOPe, even bigger government, an America-last economic and foreign policy, more H1b visas and offshoring of US jobs and a big helping of extra taxes for you and me (hidden taxes or not) for you and me.

The worst part about this is that the 2014 mid-terms showed up Obama and the Dems for their empty threats about the government shutdown and debt ceiling— Republican candidates enjoyed much more support after the shutdown than before, by virtue of showing that they’d stand up against Obama’s raids on the Treasury. And now, McConnell’s ready to just throw all those gains away and give in to whatever demands and deficit-building that Emperor Obama sends to his office.

Same here. Not a penny to the RNC or other GOPe outfits, I’ll donate only to proven individual conservative candidates with true conservative credentials.

Surrendering? He and the GOP-e are advocating the Democrats’ agenda.

The fact that they are not “spineless” when it comes to being antagonistic towards the Tea Party is proof of said advocacy.
