Soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told reporters on Tuesday, “Our goal is to fund the government.” […]

In response to another question, McConnell said, “It’s always appropriate” for Congress to “use the power of the purse.“ But he also noted that the president “has an important trump card—it’s called the veto pen.

“So, there will be ongoing negotiations in the various efforts to fund the government, both this year and next year, about priorities. This is not unusual. And we do have different priorities. And somehow we’re going to have to work out things and make progress for the American people.” …

“Remeber when they said they could do nothing because they didn’t win the Senate. See, the new excuse is they can’t do anything because they don’t have the WH.”

Exactly. Now it’s “wait until we get the Presidency”

It’s all an effing game.

Sure it is. He’s fighting for “progress for the American people”. Even though the American people were voting against the progressive agenda.

Attention Republicans- this is why some Conservatives won’t bother voting Republican.
So Republicans, attack Conservatives all you want when Republicans like Mcconnell talk like this its the Republicans fault when Conservatives stay home.

The epithet “Pennsyltucky” now has no meaning. Just like Pennsyltucky has been overtaken by Pennsyljersey, there is now Kenjersey, never mind Ohiojersey and Indianillinois.

John McCain is already promising to restore the filibuster.

For the next two years that is a good thing. Do you really want Zero to get all his stooges with only 51 votes? 46 Rats and 5 Rinos is all he needs right now. Bring it back if Republicans control it all in 2016 THEN it will be the same. As for McCain he has decided we have not had enough of him yet. It's time to primary him again!

I want the liberal republicans gone, too.

But there are lots here on FR that scream "lesser evil" and "hold your nose".

Hoping that I'll vote for another liberal republican.

I won't.

Slowly, the liberal republicans are going away and being replace by men like Cruz and Abbott.

If the gop doesn't vote this slime out as majority leader I'm done w/ them.

I'll vote 3rd party from now on, what difference does it make?

I'm not a Republican, so I just see him as another liberal.

He was never conservative.

I’d be highly surprised if this senile EUNUCH is Majority Leader 6 months from now.

Unless he comes down with some serious health issue, McConnell will be Majority Leader for the next six years.

The GOPe along with their RAT comrades will make sure that government continues to grow more tyrannical.

Remember the GOPe views the Tea Party and Conservatves as their blood enemies.

But the radical leftist Dems are not the enemies of the GOPe. Which illustrates who and what the GOPe is.
