The Internal Revenue Service, which claims to be so understaffed that it can’t bother to collect unpaid taxes, or search backup tapes for Lois Lerner’s “missing” emails, apparently has plenty of time to read the comment threads on conservative blogs that have been critical of the agency (Hi there, IRS agents!). William Jacobson, one of the best-informed and most effective critics of the agency, writes on Legal Insurrection:

How quaint! Do you also get around in a horse and buggy? All the fuss about Obama and his amnesty being unconstitutional is a hoot. The Constitution was shredded years ago. Most of what the feds do is unconstitutional. And the recent election will do nothing to change that.
I’ve been under surveillance before and this is the way the agency doing the surveillance hides their identity.
Use an agency that has no connection or reason to do the actual monitoring for them so if the person/blog being monitored tries to find out who is doing the monitoring they’re left running around in circles trying to figure out who or what govt agency it is.
The only reason the Death Squads haven’t already gone out is they are afraid of getting their azz shot off. LOL!

Who's to say they don't do this already? All they have to do is go on TV and denounce someone as a terrorist, a child molester, or a cop killer and then the public will applaud as the person gets hunted down and murdered on live TV. I'm not saying this has happened, but it wouldn't surprise me if it has.
They can monitor this. The IRS is a criminal organization that would make the mafia blush. They are capricious, incompetent, and punitive. And those are their good points.
The IRS should be abolished post haste and either a flat or fair tax initiated, and the neanderthal functionaries that work for the IRS should be tossed out onto the street where they belong.
