Fox Anchor says CNBC 'silenced' her coverage of Obamacare (“disrespecting" office of pres)

An anchor for Fox Business Network who used to work for CNBC told viewers that her superiors at the network "silenced" her reporting on Obamacare, telling her she was "disrespecting the office of the president" by pointing out that Obamacare's math didn't add up.

Daily Caller:

Fox Business Network anchor Melissa Francis said she was “silenced” by CNBC when management told her she was “disrespecting the office of the president” by reporting about Obamacare.

Francis highlighted Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber’s comments about the “stupidity” of American voters and the administration intentionally misleading the public about what’s in the law and said in her experience, some of the media helped to hide the truth about the law.

“It’s shocking, but it doesn’t surprise me because when I was at CNBC, I pointed out to my viewers that the math of Obamacare simply didn’t work,” Francis said Friday. “Not the politics by the way, but just the basic math. And when I did that, I was silenced.”

Francis pointed out that she has an economics degree from Harvard University and said she was simply trying to explain the math behind Obamacare to her viewers — the same math Gruber has candidly admitted the administration tried to hide.

“I said on the air that you couldn’t add millions of people to the system and force insurance companies to cover their pre-existing conditions without raising the price on everyone else,” Francis said. “I pointed out that it couldn’t possibly be true that if you like your plan, you can keep it. That was a lie. And in facts, millions of people had their plans canceled.”

Francis said she was called into a meeting with CNBC management (she would not specify names) and told she was “disrespecting the office of the president.”

Names. She needs to provide the names of the managers who silenced her.

Thats the only way this sort of stuff is going to stop. We need names and they need to be targeted (phone, email, lettering, shaming campaigns)

Thank you. Who knew?

“At the age of eight, (Melissa Francis) played Cassandra Cooper Ingalls on the world’s most famous prime-time soap opera, Little House on the Prairie, working alongside 1980s icons Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, and Jason Bateman.”

wiki:

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Francis graduated from Harvard University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and served as executive editor of The Harvard College Economist magazine. She was also the captain of the Harvard Polo Team.

Career[edit]
Acting[edit]
Francis started her acting career on television before her first birthday, first appearing in a Johnson & Johnson shampoo commercial at 6 months of age. She was best known for her role as Cassandra Cooper Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie, for two seasons.[1][2] Other television appearances include two series regular roles: Morningstar/Eveningstar and Joe’s World, and three films including Man, Woman and Child, where she played Paula Beckwith. She has also had appearances in the television series St. Elsewhere in 1986 and the 1988 film Bad Dreams, where she played young Cynthia. Melissa appeared in nearly 100 commercials during her acting career. She is reportedly the inspiration for the fictional character Avery Jessup (conceived of and played by Elizabeth Banks) in the show 30 Rock,[3] although Banks herself has denied this.[4]

Television journalist[edit]
In January 2012, Francis became a financial news reporter and anchor for Fox Business Network.[5]

Previously, she was a financial news reporter and anchor for CNBC. She originally provided live hourly reports from the New York Mercantile Exchange on trading in crude oil futures contracts.

Prior to CNBC, Francis was a correspondent for CNET’s broadcast unit, where she covered finance, technology and consumer products.[6]

Writer[edit]
In November 2012, Francis authored a book, Diary of a Stage Mother’s Daughter: A Memoir, concerning the trials, tribulations and joys of having an overbearing mother.[7]

A la carte is the answer. These corrupt networks have ratings in the tank because nobody believes them. The only thing that keeps them in business is package deals and the kickbacks from the Dems.

To the left they are ‘stupid voters’, as the leftist elitists think they are brilliant & should be able to tell everyone else how to live.

To us they are ‘low-information voters’ & the reason is clear: the leftist media makes every information to treat them like mushrooms!

“disrespecting the office of the president.”

And that is when you respond:

“Obama’s LIES “disrespect the office”, NOT my reporting of it!”

“Since when has CNBC been concerned about withholding criticism of Presidential policy?”

called into a meeting with CNBC management (she would not specify names)

Why not? She's not working for them now, and bringing this to light means she's burning bridges with them.

The media is a domestic enemy and this is merely proof of that.

Ms. Francis should have shown that very irritating video of Hillary shrieking something about ‘we reserve the right to criticize any administration!’, or something to that effect.

Also, if she won't name names, maybe they can be ‘leaked’.

Media is a neutral concept.

Most domestic media has become infested with the demonic. People had itching ears. Choruses of voices rose up to tickle them.

Does it need to stay that way? I do not know God’s plans but it’s worth pushing against this influence.

A good start is to assert that nothing, save the devil and demons themselves, is on first principles short of the possibility of some degree of redemption.

If the super rich elite and old white rats didn’t own and control ABCNNBCBS and the NY and LA Slimes, the Compost and other fish wraps, the Rat party would have died off a long time ago.

“Never mind. Didn’t see that she used to work for them before....”

Not just you, it was poorly written. “Former CNBC Reporter” should have been in the first sentence.

Did not other CNBC commentators get a “call” from the front office too. I recall Ratigan leaving when he began to question the “bailouts”. Santelli has had his aggravation straight from Gibbs at the whitehouse, passing even NBC managment. I noticed an abrupt behavior change after Santelli did his rant about HUD buyouts among most of the other negativists on CNBC too. They all fell into line or walked the plank after all, the parent company was one of the biggest of the bail outs. Don’t get in the way of the money train.

Funny how NO ONE at NBC gave a damn about that during the Bush Years, eh??

Even George W doesn’t want to disrespect the Presidency by criticizing. This sort of statist worship is fundamentally un-American. Am sure glad that the Founding Fathers were not concerned about respecting the Crown. Heaven help us. How about some respect the Constitution and the rights of American citizens.
