House Speaker John Boehner warned that President Barack Obama was waging a "crusade" against affordable energy after the United States and China reached agreement Wednesday on curbing greenhouse gas emissions.
"This announcement is yet another sign that the president intends to double down on his job-crushing policies no matter how devastating the impact for America's heartland and the country as a whole," Boehner said after Obama and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping inked a landmark agreement at a summit in Beijing.
"It is the latest example of the president's crusade against affordable, reliable energy that is already hurting jobs and squeezing middle-class families."
Boehner was quickly joined by the Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, who said he was "particularly distressed" by the deal, which sees the two global powers achieve breakthrough cooperation in the fight against climate change.
"I read the agreement requires the Chinese to do nothing at all for 16 years while these carbon emission regulations are creating havoc in my state and other states around the country," McConnell told reporters as he met with newly elected Republican senators.

“The Chinese are laughing at this clown.”
You mean that half-breed that was standing in “the wives section” on the stage in China the other day while Putana was standing with Ho Lee Fuk at the microphone? That Half-Breed?
No rust. Obama is an idiot.
"You're right, he really is as stupid as he looks."
All I've seen for the last six years is Boehner and McConnell whine and complain and generally try to act tough only to "compromise" their way into giving Obama exactly what he wanted in the first place.
PROSECUTE OBAMA FOR ABUSE OF POWER.

Blast, float, hearings, talk about it, discuss it, go on network tv and shout about it. You guys and girls better start to do or the wrath of the voters who put you there not more than a week ago is going to be hot on your tail.
The war on energy continues.
Now what will the GOPe do about this unconstitutional power-mad deviant seeking to take down the country???
The Senate needs to approve it to make it Constitutional but when has Obama cared about that?
Otherwise most people have already figured out that you're all talk and symbolism over substance. Please save the trash-talking for the campaign circuit.
Defund the damned administration before they sink the country...this is getting serious.
Defund them, along with most of the alphabet agencies.
This will be done by EPA regulations, I'm sure. No treaty will be presented to the Senate. Then there is only one option: impeachment in the House and conviction in the Senate. But the Senate won't convict (it takes 2/3 there).
So the Boy King can do whatever he wishes here.
And this must have the Chinese laughing heartily. In return for Obama's promise to gut American industry now, the Chinese have promised to reduce emissions starting in 2030.
Assuming the purple lipped prince hasn't declared that part of the Constitution null and void too, that is
Why do they abuse the honorable term Crusade, when Obama is obviously on a Jihad against everything in the west?
WHY WON’T AMERICANS WAKE UP AND CALL THE CAPITOL POLICE?
WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE?
HOW FAR WILL BE TOO FAR?
IF NOT NOW...WHEN?
“Let’s see some REAL actions. Talk is VERY CHEAP!”
Boner-head is REALLY good at ‘telling’ us what obama’s up to... a week after we’ve heard it on talk radio..
but he NEVER seems to get around to DOING anything about it.
Piece of garbage.
The Weeper will wet his pants and apologize.
Yep the precedent is set, need more constraints on runaway branch..ie eeebola obamma..may as well start the impeachment for the good of the country,,, at least get on tv and grow a pair and ask all branches of government and the US citizens to ignore his executive orders as the country has no confidence in potus. Start fighting, obozzo has been doing this stuff for 6 years covertly..national crises, runaway executive.
Much less 40.
I see veto proof majorities for Keystone XL and funding reductions for EPA...ALONG with specific, legal restriction against them.
