Come January, McCain will have new found clout to push for that support and promote his muscular foreign policy agenda when he is expected to take over as chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
It is a remarkable return to semi-power for the often irascible 78-year-old former Republican presidential nominee and one the senator is already planning to use robustly, vowing to hold hearings, conduct investigations and "demand answers" from administration officials in order to expose what he calls the "abysmal" failures of Obama's national security policies.

Wow. It's only been a day or two and already the bloom is off the Republican victory. I didn't think RINOs would be in on any benefits the the GOP rout had wrought. John McCain? RINO KING? What has he done as a Republican, a RINO, a career politician to earn any of this? I haven't heard much from, about him, except when he called Tea Party members hobbits and other bi-partisan bu**-kissing.
LOL. This is kind of funny but the joke is on us.Haven't heard much of anything about him in years and now he gets all righteous in his indignation, new found seniority as the Republican elder "statesman". Blechhhhh. (Right into my barf bag.)

I can't stand Juan McAmnesty, but look at this descriptor used here:
for the often irascible 78-year-old
Would the MSM writer have described Obama as "the often thin-skinned 53-year-old"?

McCain will be standing next to Obama grinning ear to ear at the White House bi-partisan McCain-Schumer Amnesty Law signing ceremony.

Likely because he was the first to cast a vote for Obama by telling us we had nothing to fear from him!

“often irascible 78-year-old former Republican presidential nominee...”
At least he was accurate with the moniker of FORMER REPUBLICAN!

After a year of private discussions between The Speaker and the president, Obama has decided to go on his own path. Obama does not comprehend or realize the strength of the powers he is defying.
Prediction: Unless he yields fast, Obama will be defeated by the Congress and the law and the people.

Still remember the look on the supporter's face at the town hall meeting in 2008. Always will probably.

I hope somebody’s janitor friend leaves soapy suds on the marble stairs on just the right morning at just the right time.
