“Yup. I know what an 80% lower is, and just ask the customers of Ares Armor in Kalifornia just how “off the grid” they were for purchasing 80% lowers that the ATF later decided were more than 80% complete.”

Yes, I know about Aries, but the lowers they were selling were plastic (The BATFE were actually after the people who were molding the parts and Aries got caught up in their action). There is no problem with 80% Aluminum lowers, and as a matter of fact, if you look at Aries website they are in the process of suing the Feds and it looks like they have a case. The BATFE has screwed the pooch on the plastic parts because they tried to claim that the mfr. molded the complete lower then put a colored plastic plug in the FCG hole which is not true. The mfr. actually molded the plug, loaded it into their injection molding machine and overmolded the receiver. So at no time was there ever a functional part. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. There are literally dozens of shops turning out 80% forged aluminum lowers and the BATFE isn’t bothering any of them.

That 10-22 Takedown is a handy little rifle. I love mine.

Me, too. I bought four additional of the 25 rd mags and mounted a small dot sight I got on sale from Sig Sauer and it's a very sweet little gun.

I have two 10-22s and each has a Nikon ProStaff Rimfire on top. They’re remarkably accurate at 100 yards. Not tack drivers by any means, of course. But more than “good enough”.

“How low can it go? ;^)”

Perhaps 10 % or so. But as others have said, we are just one school shooting away from another panic, esp after Tues, no political danger to the Dems for anything they do.

If machining 80% lowers is your thing, go for it. My point was that there's a whole lot of Ares Armor customers who thought they were not on any list because they didn't go through an FFL, but unless they bought the Polymer lower in person, using cash, all it took was one raid by the ATF to get their names and addresses anyway.

For a challenge, I prefer 80 Percent Arms 0% billet lower.

Whatever floats your boat. But I would wait until Aries lawsuit is finished. They illegally took Aries customer list, ostensibly to be able to “recover the illegal lowers,” if it is proven that the parts in question did not violate the law, the BATFE will have a lot to answer for. BTW, through the “auspices” of the NSA, they already know who has what if they really want to know. The judge has already had a lot to say about what the BATFE did, particularly since the BATFE bullshitted him to get him to override the restraining order that was already in place through another judge. I’m buying a lot of popcorn, because one of the partners in Aries is a lawyer, and they are going to take this matter all the way. And I just imagine the Aries customers are glad that they are doing it.

The Browning is great, but who can afford $50,000 on a full auto machine gun these days?

I actually kinda enjoy MREs, though I’ve never had one heated up.

I wish Ruger would came back with the 9mm camp rifle at a reasonable price.

I believe that was the Marlin camp gun. It also accepted S&W Model 59 magazines. Nice gun.

I know I love that ruger 77/44, so much so that I bought one for my son the week after I got mine.

They just made it legal to hunt deer with them in southern Michigan. Before you could only use shotguns or a muzzleloader.

Accurate, low recoil, 5 shots, and hits like a sledge hammer.
