Whenever one looks at the demographics of the population of America, and how it is changing, it always looks very daunting for conservatives.
I agree. But I'd like to suggest a strategic solution that is very viable.
The Hispanic demographic is ripe for a conservative takeover.
The Hispanic population is a largely-Christian and very religious demographic. They are hard-working, very family-oriented, and tend to be moral. There are, of course, exceptions that disprove this rule, but I am speaking of the big-picture Hispanic population. They tend to have fled from countries that embrace socialism and police-state tactics on the part of the government. In Atlanta, Georgia, I run into a lot of Hispanics, and they are mostly as I describe. They seem to be 'natural conservatives', and if we explain it to them, we may bring them to our side.
These factors lend themselves very well to how we conservatives think. At the moment, the Democrats seem to be winning them over. If we get motivated and directly address them, one-on-one or especially in large groups, we may just capture this group for our own.
It will take a great deal of motivation and a very large effort, but I would like us to consider this as a strategic plan of action. It would require the development of a curriculum that explains America (as it once was) and how we became great. The curriculum would need to explore their country's socialism, and why they lived in the squalor from which they fled. It would need to educate them on the founding of our country, and explain who the founders were -- and how they relate to the current Hispanic situation.
Then, when a curriculum is developed, we would need to organize meetings, perhaps funded by deep-pocket conservative icons, replete with a reasonable give-away to lure them there. We'd need fluent Spanish speakers to explain the curriculum to them.
Obama will issue an Executive Order Amnesty later in 2014, illegally, of course. Imagine, however, if it turned out to be the Liberal, Communist and Democrat Party's undoing.
This is a sound strategic move. We need to start the process.
I gotta say, the first time I heard a group of Mexicans talking about Blacks......just wow!.
I don't disagree with the objective, just your approach. Hispanics are natural Democrats. Their out of wedlock birthrates and school dropout rates are more similar to blacks than whites. They want government checks. They have much higher rates of poverty.
I live in an area that is heavily Hispanic, and increasingly so. I see them leave early in the morning to get to work as laborers, not office workers. I see them dress up for church on Sundays. I see massive kids’ birthday parties. I see them take care of each other and each other’s kids. Actually, that aspect far outshines my former “lily white suburb,”
As a test, I recently took a long walk through a garden apartment complex that I’d estimate is 80% Hispanic, and posted flyers for the local Republican running for Congress on a bulletin board in each building’s lobby. (maybe 20-30 buildings).
I’m not too sure how many vote, but I think they need to know that the R’s are not just writing them off. And, even if THEY don’t vote, their kids one day will.
Try accidently calling a Puerto Rican Mexican or vice versa.

Democrats BUY their voters with OUR money. It’s their SOP. The Hispanics are easily purchased. I say that from experience having worked with them for fifty + years. You are correct about work ethic, religion, etc., but they are easily purchased.
The best thing for us to do is get back the reins, disembowel the Leftist, the Democrat handiwork of a hundred years by eliminating the unconstitutionally designated departments under the Executive Branch, and of course the bureaucracies staffing those departments. Fire ‘em all. Get rid of them, and there go a few million Democrat voters, and their unions. So what they’re primarily minorities. That’s why the Dems packed them into those bureaucracies was to make it difficult to fire them, ‘cause they are minorities. I say “Damn the torpedoes......” Get the economy rolling, and they will all find new jobs.
Lots more to it, but that’s a start.

and how are you going to do that when all academics along with their partner the MSM is all made up of lies, revisionist history, social justice and white privilege?
There is one way but it is brutal and most do not have the stomach so things will continue to degrade everyday.
A miracle from God or catastrophe maybe. The former, great, the latter sucks big time.
Problem is that they are Cultural Collectivists. It is ingrained in them.

They should be thankful. Obama's War on Blacks (OWOB) by bringing in illegal criminal alien insurgent colonists has helped make the black unemployment rate skyrocket...along with his and the dems keeping them on the "plantation" of poverty.
As an aside, just recently a black tour guide in San Francisco gave a racist rant against Chinese in Chinatown. He was fired, but it shows the tension between certain races.
Not gonna happen. Executive Amnesty WILL happen after the elections, and we will be completely overwhelmed. Since so many people hate this idea, nobody will even try to get Hispanics won over.
So okay, fine. Y'all just happy with where we are goin', not many of you interested in trying a new approach.

Your cause is noble Lazamataz. Some of us are just pointing out the futility. If your heart is in the right place, and there is no pandering or compromising (ala Rand “sellout” Paul), then I would always wish the best for you or others who undertake the task.
Our only hope at this point is to prevent Obola’s “unaccompanied children” from voting in November and 2016.

True. But as I posted earlier, you have the enormous brain washing power of ALL academics and ALL media that no one is willing to destroy.
Completely destroy the current education system K-Post Graduate, and completely exterminate the media and then begin the outreach.
And if the word exterminate seems too over the top, realize there is a Real War going on here in the US (and worldwide). A war as real as WW11. Just being fought with different weapons but just as evil.
A couple of good books that reinforce the point you are making were written by Michael Barone. One is Shaping Our Nation and the other is The New Americans: How the Melting Pot Can Work Again.
Barone is a Republican author and commentator who writes the Almanac of American Politics every two years.

Laz - a sound idea. I lived in Latin America for a number of years and have lived in South Texas for most of the last 40 years, and both of your premises are sound: latinos default to the Democrats, but their values are by and large conservative. Waddya got in mind?
