New Polls Show Democrats Are In Deep Trouble As Election Day Approaches

A pair of new polls contains dire news for Democrats as they seek to hold on to their Senate majority and prevent Republican gains in the House in next month's elections.

According to a Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll released on Wednesday, 46% of voters would prefer a Republican-controlled Congress compared to 44% who want to see Democrats in charge. The pollsters, who came from both sides of the aisle, attributed the preference for a GOP-led Congress to a record low 31% approval rating for President Barack Obama's handling on foreign policy.

Still, the prospect of Republican victory lacks the sense that anything is going to make a difference.

Knowing the Republicans we have in office, and from previous experience, I’m not so sure they want to be in the leadership with the Ebola panic that is occurring...and I’m not confident that they would do any better...Criticism would be ten-fold if they were in leadership.

A vote for a Democrat is a vote for Ebola.

The news has been all about Obama "cancelling" his appearances at crucial fund-raisers----but some might conjecture that Democrats prolly dumped him.

They know Americans cant stand the sight of the ding-a-ling.

His appearance would remind Democrats watta lulu they picked.....that would depress the Democrat vote even further.

=======================================================

Course, it's hard to think like Team-O's criminal Chicago politicians---but I'm pretty certain a lot of money to facilitate Dummycrat voter fraud will be used extensively in Iowa--- b/c if Dummy Braley loses, the long knives will be out for Michelle for screwing up her campaign appearance there....calling Braley "Bailey."

After all, now that she finally "likes" her country and has a bit of self-esteem after "years of oppression" in elite schools.....the Obama criminal vote fraud machine can't let her royal ambitions be tarnished...even if reading a campaign poster is beyond her meager intellect.

Yeah, let’s say, just for kicks, they get 2/3 of each house.

Which Obama policies are they going to overturn in the next 2 years?

I’m guessing that number will be less than 0.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

The roles were reversed exactly 8 years ago when Bush GOP took that beating in 2006.

Back then Dems made sure that Bush would own all the bad news the next two years 2007 to 2008. Pelosi kept her liberal base in House under control and GOP kept getting blame for everything leading to 2008 election.

Yup - and Obama is effectively a lame duck. His legislative agenda already crippled by a GOP House, will be DOA with a GOP Senate.

And he can look forward to two years of congressional hearings and investigations into every corner of his presidency.

It won’t be fun looking forward to the State Of The Union address next year.

At this point the most that a Republican controlled Senate can do is block Obama’s far left wing judicial appointments. That’s important since judges have lifetime appointments and Obama’s will be legislating from the bench for the next 30 years.

A Republican Senate can also pass a lot of conservative bills that have already passed the house but that Harry Reid will not allow a vote on. Sure Obama will veto everything, but in 2016 the Republican Presidential candidate can run on ending Democrat obstruction. The Democrat platform will be “We stopped anything from getting done!”

In 2016 a conservative President with a Republican controlled Congress can undo almost everything that Obama has done.

Winning the war requires winning several battles along the way.

The Republicans are much more comfortable in the minority. They don’t have to do anything except complain that they don’t like the way the government is being run, then head to the golf course.

When they are in the majority they vote their natural Big Government instincts, but then have to put up with more guff from their constituents for their abysmal governance.

I expect Obama to be vetoing a lot of bills.

Let him. I mean for someone as widely detested as Bush, the Democrats main problem after November is to nominate someone who has nothing to do with Obama.

That means keeping him away from the Democratic National Convention.

GOP presidential candidates were forced to disown Bush. All of this puts to paid Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential run in 2016.

I love it.

I wish and hope for what you say, but I also recall that Republicans had both houses of congress as well as the presidency when GW Bush was in office. What we got were illegal incandescent lightbulbs and a whole lot of cooperating with the Ted Kennedy agenda.

I have no reason to believe we'd get anything different the next time around.

I'm with you. I believed the GOP one time. Heck, I was even gullible enough to think that President Bush would prosecute the criminals in the Clinton Cartel. Boy did I get an education!

That is why it is vital that we elect a conservative President and not just a Republican one.

Take a couple of pages from the Democrat playbook. This year can be our 2006 and 2016 can be our 2008. Take control of Congress this election and take back the entire federal government in 2016.

Assume that we will lose at least one house of Congress in 2018, which will give us a two year window to save America.
