BREAKING: Ferguson Grand Jury Witness May Have Just Turned Protestors’ Key Claim Upside Down

If he actually said to the grand jury what he told a St. Louis newspaper, this reported eyewitness to the shooting of Michael Brown may have just provided testimony that helps clear police officer Darren Wilson.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports today on its extensive interview with a man who says he testified before the Ferguson grand jury investigating whether Wilson should be indicted in the killing of Brown.

This man, says the newspaper article, claims that he saw first-hand something that would contradict what other so-called witnesses to the crime have insisted happened on that fateful day in August.

Some have said Brown raised his arms high in surrender, giving rise to a common protesters’ chant of “Hands up, don’t shoot” while mimicking the move. But this witness said Brown never put his hands straight up, but held his elbows straight out from his torso, with palms turned up in a sort of gesture of disbelief.

The chant of “hands up, don’t shoot” has become a favorite of Ferguson protestors and political activists who argue that officer Wilson shot Brown even though the unarmed teen was trying to give himself up.

This eyewitness account that Brown put his hands out to his sides but never raised them high, as reported by the Times-Dispatch, casts serious doubt on that critical aspect of the highly controversial incident.

And that’s not the only thing this supposed grand jury witness said that would call into question the arguments of those who say Brown was shot down in cold blood.

Again, from the Times-Dispatch interview with the self-identified eyewitness to the August shooting:

• After an initial scuffle in the car, the officer did not fire until Brown turned back toward him.

• Brown staggered toward Wilson despite commands to stop.

• The two were about 20 to 25 feet apart when the last shots were fired.

The Ferguson grand jury is expected to report its findings in about a month. If officer Wilson is not indicted, some protestors and agitators have threatened even greater violence, as noted by downtrend.com:

Now comes an interview with Black Panther Malik Zulu Shabazz on Fox News radio who called for a “black rebellion” if there is no indictment.

“The white media has not been fair to black people or black leaders,” he said, going on to claim the police was “murdering us.”

He claimed he is not calling for violence, but said he would not condemn it.

A racially inflamed mob is calling for a lynching based upon race, rather than evidence. More information that comes out showing that the shooting was justified will only infuriate them more.

Let us remember that Michael Brown's mother responded to the video showing him putting his hand on a much-smaller man's throat as "character assassination." That gives a clear indication of what sort of upbringing he had.

He was raised to be a bully who became violently outraged at experiencing limitations/consequences, paying with his life for his parents' failures in teaching him values and instilling character.

And he continues to wreak havoc in death.

Yes, there are more whites and they have more guns, but remember which side the government is on in this issue. Police and civilians are expected to be killed by black attackers, not fight back.

Those who are politically and economically invested in sowing racial discord are getting what they want — and mostly innocents will suffer as a result.

It sounds like the officer can’t get a fair hearing due to the threat of violence. Case should be tossed.

Seems like an awkward gesture. Sort of a raise the roof move?

The facts are irrelevant to the narrative.

The people murdering black men are other black men. Shabass's bullsh*t might work on brain-dead liberals or low info blacks ... but it won't work with conservatives. We're not fools.

I would like to point out that this unidentified witness also mentioned in his statement “We”, presumably there was someone else nearby to corroborate his account.

The Hands Up meme has been shot to hell, no pun intended.

He was in disbelief that anyone would tell him “no” and that he would be expected to experience consequences. That makes him a sociopath.

We are expected to tolerate criminality based upon demographics.

A Negro insurrection would send a lot of erstwhile liberals to the gun shops. And they would not be using their newly acquired arms in defense of the insurrectionists. Liberals have never been at ease with their espoused victim group. It is the liberals who truly believe that Negros are lesser people.

Conservatives, even folks that seem to exhibit the old stereotype prejudices, are much more likely to treat individuals and families as individuals and families and defend against the crazies while protecting their own and their friends that often include individuals who share genetic background with the insurrectionists. Liberals will react with fear when the shooting starts. The Right will not react with fear. Liberals will only see a mass of lesser creatures who were doing so well under liberal guidance being ungrateful and turning into their worst nightmares of barbarian savages.

The article that this one is based on has an entirely different take on the witness testimony. The witness said it was murder.

It's not an awkward gesture. It's a very aggressive one. It's almost invariably a prelude to a fight, when used in certain contexts. Not a "raise the roof" move. More of a "what you gonna do about it" one.
