Terrorists are not going to be able to achieve respiratory transmission. What they can do is spray it in small droplets which is obviously bad enough.

They can smear it on public door knobs, bus seats, toilet seats, etc. They can get jobs in eateries and put it in the food. Lots of ways for them to spread it.

The counter to that is how they spent the money they did get, much was wasted on things that have nothing to do with disease.

Something they know nothing about and are unprepared to do

That's the single point in the escalating 'effete vs flyover' division that's always struck me as the most bizarre.

For all their supposed smarts, just how does the idiotic former expect the lights to work, the toilets to keep flushing, etc ?
To one too ignorant or lazy or 'above that', all the money in the world won't feed or house their parasitic carcasses absent a farmer or a carpenter.

So IF there's any kind of 'upside' to all this, it'll be in simply knowing, as we check out, that their own arrogance and uselessness will insure that such vermin won't be far behind us.

If we're able to sense it somehow from beyond this orb, we can look forward to enjoying some galactic-grade schadenfreude . . .

I wish the news reports would say that it was ASSUMED that this is how and when it spreads and that this assumption led to the procedures and policies in place when these 2 workers contracted the disease - includinq the airline screeninq policies that let in patient zero who had the disease when he arrived here and has led to these other cases. And those policies are STILL lettinq in people who may have the disease and spread it to health workers and others - even thouqh those policies have failed in keepinq Americans safe.

They say the case in Kansas was NOT ebola; I still wonder, I don’t know if we are getting the straight news alright.

A steady dose of Oregano Oil can't hurt either. A strong immune system is the key. Thank you to the Kenyan Community Agitator for bringing this here from his home continent.

Those e bola suits used do not work....simple as that.

No, they do work. They are also the vector by which HCWs are becoming infected.

We are planning to decon the body suits and gloves prior to removal. MSF does that, and they have the best safety record in Africa.

You know, the government guidance about the US vs. Africa in terms of precautions is still up this morning. Among other things, it says:

(Question) Why do responders in Africa wear so much personal protective equipment (that can include full body suits) for this Ebola outbreak when CDC says hospitals here could safely manage the care of an Ebola patient without a full body suit?
(Answer) There are important differences between providing care or performing public health tasks in Africa versus in a U.S. hospital. In field medical settings, additional PPE may be necessary to protect healthcare workers. In some places in Africa, workers may not have the ability to prepare for potential exposures. For example, in some places, care may be provided in clinics with limited resources (e.g., no running water, no climate control, no floors, inadequate medical supplies), and workers could be in those areas for several hours with a number of Ebola infected patients. Additionally, certain job responsibilities and tasks, such as attending to dead bodies, may also require different PPE than what is used when providing care for infected patients in a hospital."

The words in bold may go down in history as the worst situational assessment in history. And, even more delicious considering the source, it's almost - dare I say it - racist.

then you have that...2nd term...WOW!

Remember this:http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2013/04/voter-ballot-fraud-obama-failed-to-qualify-for-indiana-ballot-how-many-other-states/

By default - he should never have been allowed to be president - not that Hillary should take his place...

What happens if I win something through fraud - then it is found out AFTER the fact - I lost the prize...pretty common occurrence...happens in sports and other professional positions...then WHY did it not apply here???

Ground Zero hospital in Dallas has only three isolation beds. Local & state officials are meeting with CDC this morning to discuss dispo of future cases.

One reporter accused local officials of new case coverup during yesterday afternoon presser. Stern denial, stating firmly that a blood test on the new patient had NOT been drawn, much less pending yesterday afternoon at 2PM CT.

The attitude you explain is de rigueur in almost all engineering and management circles nowadays. I work in the medical device manufacturing field and this type of attitude is rampant.

With the new “improved” travel screenings, patient zero could still enter the US today, just like he did last month.

NOTHING has changed.
